SYLVESTER & CO. - “Above/Below” by Dalton Portella has an Artist Reception this evening from 6 to 9 p.m. The exhibition includes digital photography and specialized photo editing to create spectacular perspectives of sea and sky. C FINE ART  presents "Sculpture by Kevin Barrett" in partnership with the WHITE ROOM GALLERY with an Opening Reception on Saturday from 4 to 6 p.m. The exhibition is on view through the season at The White Room Gallery Sculpture Garden. EAST HAMPTON/SPRINGS

GUILD HALL - “Gallery Talk with Hal Buckner” takes place on Saturday at 1 p.m. Admission is free. Hal Buckner takes a figurative image and reduces it to its most essential element, line. The line is cut from a single piece of aluminum and represents the sensuous outline of the female form. “Hal Buckner” remains on view through October 12. LAWRENCE FINE ART - "New Voices" has an Opening Reception this evening from 5 to 8 p.m. Artists on view include Deb Lawrence, Suzanne LaFleur, Janet Mait and Schulman. The show is part of the gallery's "Summer of Abstraction" which is intended to explore new developments in abstraction. Lawrence Fine Art is located at 37 Newtown Lane, East Hampton, New York 11937. www.lawrence-fine-art.com.

GREENPORT

EAST END ARTS at GREENPORT THEATRE - "Through the Mist: Pinhole Photographs of Local Landscapes by Mark Stetler" has an Artist Talk & Reception on Saturday. The Artist Talk will be held from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. and the reception will follow from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. The exhibition remains on view through September 7. Greenport Theatre is located at 211 Front St #A, Greenport, NY 11944. www.eastendarts.org.

PECONIC LANDING - “Film Screening: HurlyBurly takes place this evening at 7:30 p.m. A Q&A with actor, director and writer Chazz Palmister follows the screening. The screening is co-presented by the Manhattan Film Institute and Tony Spiridakis. Admission is free. Registration is required.

MONTAUK LIBRARY - “All In Due Time: Poetry Readings” takes place on Sunday from 3:30 to 5 p.m. Harriet Slaughter, poet & artist, will read from her recent work, Ars Poetica and Mira J. Spektor, poet & composer will read selections from her book of poems, The Road to November as well as her newest work. The program will also include the screening of The Passion of Lizzie Borden. RIVERHEAD

EAST END ARTS - “Artist Talk by Daniel Hauben: Creating a Sense of Place” takes place on Tuesday from 8 to 9:30 p.m. Daniel Hauben will be an Artist-in-Residence at East End Arts through July 24. Daniel Hauben will show a cross-section of his urban landscapes and share some of his painting techniques. The event is free. East End Arts is located at 133 E. The Brazilian artist is influenced by Pop Art and creates a dialogue about waste and exaggeration around the world through his work. PETER MARCELLE PROJECT - “Solo Show by Andy Moses” has an Opening Reception on Saturday from 4 to 8 p.m. The exhibition remains on view through July 19. The exhibition includes recent work by sculptural painter Andy Moses. Moses pushes the physical properties of paint in order to mimic nature and its forces. STONY BROOK SOUTHAMPTON - “Selected Shorts” presented by The Southampton Review takes place on Saturday at the 2015 Stony Brook Southampton Writers Conference. Doors open at 6:45 p.m. and the event begins at 7:30 p.m. Presenters include Billy Collins, Jill Eikenberry, Michael Tucker and Harris Yulin. SOUTHAMPTON ARTS CENTER - “East To West” has an Opening Reception on Saturday at 5 p.m. Juried by a panel of artists and gallerists, "East to West" celebrates the works of various mediums from artists living and working on Long Island from farthest points east to farthest points west. Artists on view include Bentley Meeker, Diane Tuft, Tomas Vu, Gary Bartoloni, Charles Damga, Angie Drakapoulos, Alex Ferrone, Setha Low, Mike McLaughlin, Susan Newmark and Immi Storrs.

“Conversations with Alex Kuczynski: Jamie Brickhouse” takes place this evening from 5:30 to 7 p.m.

SOUTHAMPTON CULTURAL CENTER - “Summer Roses V: An Evening in Paris” takes place on Saturday at 5 p.m. The concert features soprano Sarah Moulton Faux and violinist Junko Ohtsu. Admission is $40, free for children under 14. $10 of every ticket sold benefits the Southampton Cultural Center’s “Songs & Stories” series. Purchase tickets here. WATER MILL

PARRISH ART MUSEUM - “Guided Tour of the Permanent Collection” takes place on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. The docent-led tour features highlights from the seven permanent collection galleries. WATER MILL MUSEUM - “Summer Waters” by the East End Photographers Group has a Reception on Saturday from 5 to 7 p.m. The exhibition remains on view through August 10. The water-themed photographic exhibition features traditional, digital and alternative photographic processes. The show is curated by Marilyn Stevenson. WESTHAMPTON BEACH

WESTHAMPTON BEACH PERFORMING ARTS CENTER - “July World Cinema Series: The Farewell Party” screens from Tuesday through Thursday at 8 p.m. Andrew Botsford will introduce films each Tuesday night and discuss the film afterwards with guest commentators. The July World Cinema Series continues on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday nights through July 30.
