THE ART BARGE - “Artists Speak: Joan Semmel” takes place on Wednesday at 6 p.m. Janet Goleas will converse with artist, professor and writer Joan Semmel. Admission is $20. Reservations are suggested. The Art Barge is located at 110 Napeague Meadow Rd, Amagansett, NY 11930. www.theartbarge.com.

CHASE EDWARDS CONTEMPORARY FINE ART - “Warhol Hits the Hamptons!!!” has an Opening Reception on Saturday from 6 to 9 p.m. The exhibition consists of a series of Warhol prints produced on Tim Bessell’s handmade surfboards. “Panel Discussion: Connecting Art & Conservation” takes place on Saturday from 3 to 5 p.m. The panel discussion features Peconic Land Trust President John v.H. Halsey and Vice President Rebecca Chapman, Plein Air Peconic artists Gordon Matheson, Casey Chalem Anderson and Kathryn Szoka, and special guests, Laura Grenning of Grenning Gallery, and artist Marc Dalessio. GUILD HALL - “Rock Cinema: Stop Making Sense” takes place this evening at 8 p.m. Stop Making Sense is director Jonathan Demme’s concert film that captures the energy of the Talking Heads live performance. MONTAUK PLAYHOUSE POP UP ART GALLERY opens on Saturday from 4 to 7 p.m. The gallery stays open through July 30 from 4 to 7 p.m. daily. Featured at the gallery are works of art, items and cultural experiences up for auction. The auction is presented in connection with this year’s Gala For the Playhouse, where Montauk’s visual and performing artists will be honored.
