The Retreat hosted its 20th Annual All Against Abuse benefit, “Roaring 20’s Summer Soiree,” on Saturday, June 20, 2015 at the Ross School Lower Campus Field House in Bridgehampton, N.Y. The Retreat is the East End’s only comprehensive domestic violence services agency.
Previously called Artists Against Abuse, this event has raised over $2 million in support of The Retreat’s mission. Originally a “plate auction” event, hundreds of famous and local participating artists created and donated one-of-a-kind, beautiful plates, which were auctioned and sold to the highest bidder. Over the years, the event grew into something larger than an auction. It has become a celebration of our partnership with the community. In 2015, the event was renamed All Against Abuse, to clarify all people are encouraged to get involved, not only artists.
At "Roaring 20s Summer Soiree", attendees enjoyed a 1920’s themed evening with a live and silent auction, music by DJ MKL of Jarrell Entertainment, event design by Maria McBride and cuisine by Chef Colette of Inn Spot on the Bay. An award was presented to Ann and Constantine Clemente. The featured guest speaker was Amy Cerullo.

For 28 years, The Retreat has been providing free domestic violence services and education to families on the East End of Long Island. Programs include a residential shelter for adults and children, a 24-hour domestic violence hotline, individual and group counseling, legal advocacy for all victims of domestic violence, programs to engage troubled fathers and other men who may be at-risk of committing family violence, and an in-school violence prevention education program taught in local schools.
