The Hamptons becomes a playground come summer, so why not make the most of it and spend your day building sandcastles and supporting a great cause! The Annual East Hampton Sandcastle Contest will be held on Saturday, August 1, 2015 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the Atlantic Avenue Beach in Amagansett. This is the contest’s 23rd summer, with people and groups of all ages encouraged to participate.

This year the artist David Geiser drew and designed the T-shirt for sale, with the proceeds going to the Clamshell Foundation. When asked about David’s inspiration for the drawing he wrote, “We swim, frolic, float on, dive in, disturb, pollute and destroy their environment, a little ‘pay back’ seemed only right.”

Geiser has been making art in this style since the 60’s and his Underground Comix days.
