A big chunk of the Hamptons art scene can be found in New York City at Frieze Art Week. Meanwhile, there continues to be art events unfolding on the East End. Noteworthy is "The Big Show" at Silas Marder Gallery. Dan Rizzie unveils his new book amid a solo exhibition at Peter Marcelle Project. Paton Miller continues his moment in the sun with the opening of a two-person show at the Southampton Historical Museum. (He recently had a solo show at Glenn Horowitz Bookseller and curated "East End Collected" at Southampton Center). BRIDGEHAMPTON

BRIDGEHAMPTON COMMUNITY HOUSE - “Shakespeare on Wine presented by HITFest and Non Disposable Productions” takes place on Saturday at 7 p.m. The sixty minutes of Shakespearean performance and wine benefits HITFest, Non Disposable Productions, and the East Hampton Historical Society. BRIDGEHAMPTON MUSEUM - “The Wednesday Group: A NEW SEASON” has a Reception on Saturday from 5 to 8 p.m. The exhibition remains on view through June 5. The show features the work of members of The Wednesday Group, Plein Air Painters of the East End. The exhibition includes work done at The Nature Conservancy sites along with other locations on the East End. SILAS MARDER GALLERY - “The Big Show 9” has an Opening Reception on May 16 from 4 to 8 p.m. The exhibition remains on vie through June 21. GREENPORT   

FLOYD MEMORIAL LIBRARY - “Artists, Curators, and Critics: A Conversation” takes place on Saturday at 3 p.m. Artists Ted Victoria and Andrea Cote will drive audience participation while Amei Wallach, Andrea Grover and Joyce Beckenstein will field questions about the workings of the art world. GREENPORT HARBOR BREWING COMPANY - “Message On A Bottle” has an Opening Reception on Saturday from 6 to 9 p.m. The exhibition remains on view through July 20. The show features sketches by Scott Bluedorn that led up to the brewery’s new beer bottle labels. MONTAUK LIBRARY - “The History of Music in Film: Buster Keaton’s Neighbors” takes place on Sunday from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. Composer-pianist, J. K. Hodge will discuss the history of silent film and perform some of his original compositions. The concert will include a performance of an original score while Buster Keaton’s 20 minute silent film, Neighbors (1920) is screened. The event is free. WATER MILL

PARRISH ART MUSEUM - “Spring Family Night: The Art of Stop Motion Animation” takes place on Friday from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Visitors will learn how to build sets and create short animated films with guidance from artists from The Good School. The event is free with museum admission. Reservations not required.

You are You Conversation and Book Signing with Lindsay Morris” takes place on Sunday at 11 a.m. The photography book documents an annual weekend summer camp for gender-nonconforming children and their families. Admission is $10, free for members or with book purchase.

“Guided Tour of the Permanent Collection” takes place on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. The docent-led tour features highlights from the seven permanent collection galleries. Free with museum admission. Reservations suggested.
