Alex Ferrone Photography Gallery has stepped up to help those in need in Nepal. Working with the AFYA Foundation, the fine art photography gallery has organized a donation goods drive to collect supplies needed for relief efforts. AFYA Foundation's mission is to collect and deliver critically needed surplus medical supplies, hospital equipment, and humanitarian provisions for acute and ongoing health crises worldwide.
Collections at Alex Ferrone Photography Gallery is focused on supplies sought by AFYA Foundation. The list includes are cleaning supplies, tools (shovels, pick axes, work gloves), buckets, heavy-duty garbage bags, tents, tarps, water purification tablets and Lifestraw personal water filters. Also on the list are Tylenol (or acetaminophen), wound dressing supplies, bandages, powdered infant formula, personal hygiene items, surgical supplies (general and orthopedic), glucometers and non-expired matching test strips.
Only those items on the list will be accepted by the Alex Ferrone Photography Gallery.
Drop offs are accepted through May 31, 2015 during gallery hours. The gallery is open Thursday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
While there, check out the gallery's new exhibition "Spring Into Collecting". An Opening Reception will be held Saturday, May 9, from 6 to 8 p.m. The show continues through June 6, 2015.
