Live music and lectures continue to dominate the cultural scene in the Hamptons and the East End of Long Island. Two exceptions are the first 2015 Open Rehearsal at Watermill Center and an exhibition reception at East End Arts Gallery for its first members' show of 2015. Following is this week's list of where to find art and culture in the Hamptons.

BRIDGEHAMPTON

BRIDGEHAMPTON MUSEUM - “Parlor Jazz Concert: Pamela Luss - Home Is Where The Heart Istakes place on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. at the Bridgehampton Museum Archive Building. Tickets to the concert are $25, $15 for members. The Bridgehampton Museum Archive Building is located at 2539-A Montauk Hwy, Bridgehampton, NY 11932. www.bhmuseum.org.

EAST HAMPTON/SPRINGS

GUILD HALL - “National Theatre Live Presents JOHN” on Saturday at 8 p.m. The performance combines movement and spoken word to depict real-life stories. The production will be broadcast live from the National Theatre. Admission is $18, $16 for members. Guild Hall is located at 158 Main Street East Hampton, NY 11937. www.guildhall.org.

MONTAUK

THE MONTAUK LIBRARY - “Concert: The Pat DeRosa Orchestra” takes place on Sunday from 3:30 to 5 p.m. The concert of Jazz Standards features Pat DeRosa on sax, clarinet and flute. Also featured are Patricia DeRosa Padden on piano and vocals, Nicole DeRosa Padden on flute and vocals, Christopher Walsh on guitar and vocals, and Bob Beck on drums. The event is free. RIVERHEAD

BLUE DUCK BAKERY CAFÉ - “Poetry Street Open Mic” takes place on Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. This series of "Open Mics" is the spoken word project of Susan Dingle for the East End Arts' JumpstART program. The "Open Mics" are hosted by Susan Dingle and Robert "Bubbie" Brown. Poets, comedians and storytellers are invited to sign up at 1:30 PM. The first 15 writers to sign-up have 3 minutes to perform original work. The event is $5 for poets and audience members. For more information, contact  [email protected]. EAST END ARTS - “Annual Members’ Show: SQUARES” has an Opening Reception on Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. The exhibition remains on view through March 6. East End Arts members were invited to submit one work of art in any medium in a square format. Visitors will have an opportunity to select their favorite artwork for the People’s Choice Award. SAG HARBOR

SOUTHAMPTON

SOUTHAMPTON HISTORICAL MUSEUM - “A Brief History of the North Sea” Lecture takes place on today at 3 p.m. at the Rogers Memorial Library. The talk centers around the cultural changes in Southampton during the 17th century and the development of the colonial port now known as the North Sea. WATER MILL

PARRISH ART MUSEUM - "Architectural Sessions Presents PRO BONO: Architects Who Serve Humanity" on Friday at 6 p.m. Hosted by Hamptons and NYC architect Maziar Behrooz, AIA, the program features architect Sharon Davis and artist and philanthropist Jane Walentas in a conversation about architects who volunteer their time for charity causes. Co-presented by AIA Peconic. Admission is $10, $8 for seniors, or free for museum members. Reservations recommended.

“Guided Tour of the Permanent Collection” takes place on Wednesdays. Saturdays and Sundays from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. The docent-led tour features highlights from the seven permanent collection galleries. Free with museum admission. Reservations suggested.

WATERMILL CENTER - “Open Rehearsal: Catherine Galasso” takes place on Sunday at 3 p.m. The choreographer and multi-media artist will present excerpts from Andy deGroat’s stabat, swan Iac, and hiroshima. Admission is free with a suggested donation of $10. Watermill Center is located at 39 Watermill Towd Road, Watermill, NY 11976. www.watermillcenter.org.
