Group shows seem to be the rage this weekend with several peeling back a wide cross-section of art being made on the East End. Live music, film screenings and a self-guided gallery walk on Saturday from Southampton to Montauk are among the weekend art options. Following is the list of ways to have an art-filled weekend in the Hamptons and on the North Fork.

INNERSLEEVE RECORDS - “The MERCYFUNKS: ‘Don’t pet the white dog’ Album Release Party” takes place on Saturday from 5 to 7 p.m. ‘Don’t pet the white dog’ is a 31 song homage to The Beatles White Album. The album features Pony Thompson on vocals, Kevin Teare on drums, Jewlee Trudden on guitar, and Keelan James on piano. 70% of the proceeds from the sale of all vinyl, CDs and merchandise benefits LYME NATION, an NYC based organization dedicated to presenting Lyme Disease information and alternative treatment. BRIDGEHAMPTON MUSEUM - “Jazz Woman to the Rescue: Antoinette Montague” Concert takes place on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. at the Bridgehampton Museum’s Archives Building. Admission is $25, $15 for members. SILAS MARDER GALLERY - “Home Spun” has an Opening Reception on Saturday from 4 to 8 p.m. The exhibition remains on view through December 21. The show explores how artists use materials and techniques traditionally used in craft to convey contemporary themes. ALEX FERRONE PHOTOGRAPHY GALLERY - “Small Works 2014 - The Botanical Exhibit” has an Artists’ Reception on Saturday from 5 to 8 p.m. The exhibition remains on view through February 15, 2015. All framed works on view are sized 14 inches or smaller. Throughout the exhibition the gallery will be collecting new personal care products for families in need through CAST Southold Town. QUOGUE LIBRARY GALLERY - “Box+Art” Auction Reception takes place on Friday from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Artists were asked to use paint, collage, assemblage or and other techniques to create a piece of artwork using a cigar box. Winning bidders will be announced at the reception. A portion of the proceeds will go to the Quogue Library. The boxes will remain on view through November 30. SOUTHOLD HISTORICAL SOCIETY - “Annual Candlelight Tour” takes place on Friday from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Southold Historical Society’s Maple Lane Museum Complex. Tour guides in period costume will direct visitors from building to building with the help of candle and lantern lit paths. Each period building on the grounds is decorated in a different style. Children can visit Santa and his elves in the Pine Neck Barn. A Christmas Tree Lighting will take place at 5 p.m. in front of the Ann Currie-Bell House. The tour is free. Donations are appreciated. PARRISH ART MUSEUM - “Making Space/ 5 Women Changing the Face of Architecture” screens on Friday at 6 p.m. The film was directed by Ultan Guilfoyle and produced by Alice Shure and Janice Stanton. “Jackson Pollock’ Book Signing” takes place on Saturday at 11 a.m. in the Norman and Liliane Peck/Peter Jay Sharp Foundation Lobby. The author, Helen A.
