A Gospel Music series, poetry readings, exhibition tours, and art gallery receptions are the options for this weekend on the East End. Following is this week's list to help plan your art weekend in the Hamptons, Riverhead and the North Fork.

EAST HAMPTON

GLENN HOROWITZ BOOKSELLER - “Paton Miller: The Edge of The World” has an Opening Reception on Saturday from 5 to 8 p.m. The exhibition remains on view through December 31. Miller will exhibit recent and older paintings and drawings which explore the interaction between the land and the sea. GUILD HALL - "The Met: Live in HD - Rossini's Il Barbiere Di Siviglia (The Barber of Seville)" takes place on Saturday at 1 p.m. (3 hours, 25 minutes). Rossini's classic comedy features some of the most recognizable melodies in opera. The production stars Isabel Leonard, Lawrence Brownlee and Christopher Maltman. Conducted by Michele Mariotti. General Admission is $22; $20 for members and $15 students. Guild Hall is located at 158 Main Street, East Hampton, NY 11937. www.guildhall.org

FLANDERS

EAST END ARTS – “28th Annual Harvest Gospel Concert Series” takes place on November 20, 21 and 22 at 8 p.m. in three different locations. All concerts are free. The non-denominational celebration presents a choir with over 70 singers. In Flanders, the concert takes place on Saturday, November 22, at the Friendship Baptist Church, 59 Anchor Street, Flanders, NY 11901. www.eastendarts.org.

MATTITUCK

EAST END ARTS – “28th Annual Harvest Gospel Concert Series” takes place on November 20, 21, and 22 at 8 p.m. in three different locations. All concerts are free. The non-denominational celebration includes a choir of over 70 singers. In Mattituck, the concert takes place tonight (November 20) at the Mattituck Presbyterian Church, 12605 Main Road, Mattituck, NY 11952. www.eastendarts.org.

RIVERHEAD

BLUE DUCK BAKERY CAFÉ - “Poetry Street Open Mic” takes place on Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. The spoken word “Open Mic” is hosted by Susan Dingle and Robert “Bubbie” Brown. Poets, comedians and storytellers are invited to sign up at 1:30 p.m. The first 15 writers to sign up have 3 minutes to perform original work. Admission for speakers and audience members is $5. SUFFOLK COUNTY HISTORICAL SOCIETY - “Ageless Beauty: Antique Dolls Exhibit” has an Opening Reception on Friday at 6 p.m. The exhibition remains on view through March 7. The show features over 100 vintage dolls and doll paintings by Rani Carson. SOUTHAMPTON

WATER MILL

PARRISH ART MUSEUM - “Guided Tour of the Special Exhibitions” takes place on Saturday at 2 p.m. and features a tour of “Steven and William Ladd: Mary Queen of the Universe” and “Alan Shields: In Motion.” Tours last approximately one hour. Free with museum admission.

“Guided Tour of the Permanent Collection” takes place on Sunday and Wednesday at 2 p.m. Tours last approximately one hour and are free with museum admission. The Parrish Art Museum is located at 279 Montauk Hwy, Water Mill, NY 11976. www.parrishart.org.

SARA NIGHTINGALE GALLERY - "Outsider In" has an Opening Reception on Saturday from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Artist Ross Watts curated the show. Exhibiting artists include Christine Sciuili, Jack Youngerman, Claire Watkins, Gareth Hughes, David McQueen, Kai Vierstra, Samir Patel, Bryan Hunt, Ross Watts, Lucy Winton, Janet Goleas, Brett Loving, Peter Sabbeth, Chris Leathers and Laurie Lambrecht.
