Creativity has infused the dramatic arts with some extra twists creating a whirling dervish of theater and events with theatrical flair on the East End. Following is a list of where to find them this weekend and next on the East End.

NOVEMBER 14, 2014 (FRIDAY)

“GESTURE JAM” takes place tonight (Nov. 14) at 6 p.m. at the Parrish Art Museum. The theatrical figure drawing event with a serious kick is led by artist and educator Andrea Cote. DJ Mister Lama, actor Kate Mueth, and the Neo-Political Cowgirls will add extra pizzazz. All skill levels are welcome. Bring your own sketch pad and dry media drawing materials. Admission is $10, free for members, children, and students. Reservations are recommended.

“HAMLET” continues through November 23 at Guild Hall. Productions take place on Fridays and Saturdays at 7 p.m. and on Sundays at 2 p.m. Presented by the Round Table Theatre Company and Guild Hall. Directed by Morgan Vaughan with set design by Brian Leaver. Tickets are $25, $23 for members. Guild Hall is located at 158 Main Street, East Hampton, NY 11937. www.guildhall.org.

“PLAY READING FESTIVAL” takes place from November 14 to 16 at Heron Suites Lobby/Event Space in Southold. The Festival is presented by Northeast Stage and features “Ladies Man”, “84 Charing Cross Road”, and “No Exit.” “Ladies Man” will be read on November 14 at 7 p.m. “No Exit” will be read on November 15 at 7 p.m. “84 Charing Cross Road” will be read on November 16 at 3 p.m. Admission is $15 or $30 for all three performances. Ticket price includes admission to a Meet the Cast Reception. Heron Suites is located at Port of Egypt Marine, 62300 Main Rd, Southold NY 11971. www.northeaststage.org.

NOVEMBER 15, 2014 (SATURDAY) 

“SATURDAYS @ WMC featuring El Colegio Del Cuerpo” takes place on November 15 beginning at 11 a.m. at Watermill Center. There will be a free movement workshop where participants will learn excerpts from El Colegio Del Cuerpo’s repertoire. At 1:30 p.m., a walking tour of the grounds, building, and collection will begin featuring pop up performances by dancers of El Colegio del Cuerpo. At 3 p.m., El Colegio del Cuerpo presents an Open Rehearsal of a project in process. Reservations are encouraged.

“JDTLab: WILD HORSES” BY ANDREA GOLDMAN takes place on November 18 at 7:30 p.m. at Guild Hall. The minimalist, movement-based performance features original music by composer and pianist Dani Campos. The performance is free. A meet and greet with the ensemble follows the performance.

NOVEMBER 21, 2014 (FRIDAY) 

JOE LANDRY'S "IT'S A WONDERFUL LIFE, A LIVE RADIO PLAY" takes place from November 21 - 23 at Southampton Cultural Center’s Levitas Center for the Arts. Performances will held on Friday, Nov. 21, at 7 p.m.; on Saturday, Nov. 22, at 2, 5, and 7 p.m.; and on Sunday, Nov. 23, at 2 and 5 p.m. Directed Michael Disher. The Live Radio Play relies upon actors voices and sound effects to tell the story. Tickets are $20, $10 for students under 21 and can be purchased online www.scc-arts.org or by calling 631-287-4377.
