Sag Harbor is kicking it this weekend with Harborfest. Expect to find family events and Sag Harbor-inspired cultural happenings. In addition, look to find exhibition receptions, film screenings and benefit events across the East End. Here's this week's list of art events and happenings:

AMAGANSETT 

ILLE ARTS GALLERY - “Emily Cheng: paintings and drawings” has an Opening Reception on Saturday from 5 to 7 p.m. The exhibition remains on view through September 30. Ille Arts Gallery is located at 216a Main Street, Amagansett, NY 11930. www.illearts.com.

EAST HAMPTON / SPRINGS

GUILD HALL - “Round Table Theatre Company Benefit” takes place on Saturday from 7 to 10 p.m. in Guild Hall’s Green Room. The fundraiser includes food, wine, live entertainment and a silent auction. Admission is $20 or a $20 bottle of wine presented at the door. Proceeds benefit the Round Table Theatre Company’s November production of Hamlet. POLLOCK-KRASNER HOUSE AND STUDY CENTER – “Artists on Film: Discovery” begins Friday at 7 p.m. and features "Video Portraits from the Eyes on Main Street project with artist Andrea Cote. A discussion led by Marion Wolberg Weiss follows the screening.  The film series continues through September with a screening every Friday. VERED GALLERY - Gallery Talk for "Modernist Color: The First 90 Yeras" takes place on Sunday from 4 to 6 p.m. Led by gallerist Janet Lehr. Exhibition highlights include paintings by John Singer Sargent, Arthur B. Carles, Russell Morgan, John Sloan, Arthur Dove, Milton Avery, Arshile Gorky, Larry Rivers and Helen Frankenthaler. THE MONTAUK LIBRARY - “Drew Petersen, classical pianist” has a concert on Saturday from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. The concert is free. The Montauk Library is located at 871 Montauk Highway, Montauk, NY 11954. www.montauklibrary.org.

PECONIC

GALLERY CROSSING - “Fine Art of the East End by Scott Hewett and Anna Franklin” opens today and has an Artist Reception on Saturday from 4:30 to 6 p.m. The show remains on view through September 22. Hewett is a “Pop-Realism” painter who focuses on Americana-themed subjects and scenes of the East End. Franklin works in a variety of painting styles from abstract to representational. RIVERHEAD

SUFFOLK COUNTY HISTORICAL SOCIETY - "Book & Bottle - Author Visit/Book Discussion with Howard Kroplick" takes place this evening at 7 p.m. Admission is free for members, $5 for non-members. SAG HARBOR

BAY STREET THEATER - 'HARBORFEST ALL STAR COMEDY" held Saturday at 8 p.m. The evening features Marina Franklin, Akaash Singh, Giulio Gallarotti and music by Nicky K. CANIO'S BOOKS - "Sag Harbor as Artistic Inspiration" panel discussion takes place on Saturday at 5 p.m.  The panel features painter Whitney Hansen and photographer Ann Chwatsky with moderation by photographer Kathryn Szoka. ROOM WITH A VIEW GALLERY - “Equestrian & Polo” by Lynn Matsuoka has an Opening Reception on Saturday from 6 to 8 p.m. The exhibition remains on view through September 30. The sports and portraits artist will be showing artwork created on location in the Hamptons and finished in her Bridgehampton Studio. SAG HARBOR WHALING MUSEUM - "A Whale of a Party" takes place on Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. Live music by DJ Carlos Lama, food by Cromers and refreshments provided by Montauk Brewing Co. and Water Street Wines & Spirits. UPCOMING

“Pechakucha Night Hamptons: Vol. 9” takes place next Friday (September 19) at 6 p.m. at the Parrish Art Museum. Pechakucha Night includes presentations by local artists, writers, musicians, gardeners, farmers, baymen, winemakers, chefs, designers, architects, and more. Admission is $10, free for members, children, and students. "Resplendent Water" by Jo Anne Dumas has an Opening Reception next Thursday (September 18) from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Lyceum Gallery at Suffolk County Community College.
