There are lots of art options for this weekend and beyond on the East End. Art events unfold beginning tonight (Thursday) and continue through Wednesday. Look out for film screenings, book signing, a pop up street art exhibition, the Box Art Auction Preview Reception and more. Exhibition receptions are being held from Montauk to Southampton with a print workshop and informal "breakfast" being held in Greenport.

AMAGANSETT 

ARC FINE ART - “Endless Summer” by Tony Caramanico and Chris Leidy has an Artists’ Reception on Saturday from 6 to 8 p.m. The exhibition remains on view through September 1. Leidy will show underwater photography prints. Caramanico will show pigment prints on paper and canvas, many of which focus on surf culture in the U.S. and abroad. LEONARD TOURNÉ GALLERY at THE BRIDGEHAMPTON COMMUNITY HOUSE - “Bridgehampton Antiques & Design Fair” has a VIP Preview this evening from 6 to 8:30 p.m. The Fair takes place on Friday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Bridgehampton Community House is located at 2357 Montauk Highway, Bridgehampton, NY 11932. www.leonard-tourne.com

EAST END HOSPICE – “Box Art Auction Preview Reception” takes place on Wednesday, August 27, from 5 – 7 p.m. at St. Luke’s Hoie Hall in East Hampton, NY. Preview viewings take place at St. Luke’s on August 27 and 28 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Box Art Auction takes place on September 6 at the Ross School. The Box Art Auction benefits East End Hospice. GLENN HOROWITZ BOOKSELLER - “Jonah Freeman & Justin Lowe” has an Opening Reception and Book Release on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. The exhibition is presented by Glenn Horowitz, Kyle DeWoody, and Marlborough Chelsea. GUILD HALL - “Herb & Dorothy 50 x 50: A Screening” takes place on Wednesday at 8 p.m. The documentary is the follow-up film to Megumi Sasaki’s Herb & Dorothy, the story of Herb and Dorothy Vogel’s efforts to build their world-class art collection on a postal worker’s and librarian’s salaries. Following the screening will be a discussion with Dorothy Vogel and Dr. Ruth Appelhof. Tickets are $12, $10 for members. THE FIREPLACE PROJECT - “Silver Pockets Full” with Josephine Meckseper and Brad Troemel” has an Opening Reception on Saturday from 6 to 9 p.m. The exhibition remains on view through September 22. THE SOUTH STREET GALLERY - "Breakfast with Dan Welden" takes place on Sunday at 10 a.m. Weldon will demonstrate his etching "Solarplate" process in a hands-on workshop. KARYN MANNIX CONTEMPORARY at ATLANTIC TERRACE MOTEL - “For the People: Beat of the Street” has an Opening Reception on Saturday. THE FIREPLACE PROJECT at THE SURF LODGE - “Tears of Ra” by Nick Theobald has an Opening Reception on Sunday from 3 p.m. until sunset. The exhibition remains on view through September 22. HAMPTON THEATRE COMPANY – “30th Anniversary Benefit” performance and party takes place on Sunday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Quogue Field Club. SAG HARBOR WHALING & HISTORIC MUSEUM - “The Lure of the Striped Bass” has an Artist Talk on Friday at 3 p.m. Richard Doctorow and Stephen T. Lobosco, curators of the exhibition, will be in conversation with Aage Bjerring, a Long Island hand carver. Bjerring’s carved lures and decoys are on display in the museum. WATER MILL

PARRISH ART MUSEUM - “Atlantic Vibrations: Surf Movie Night, Vol. 2” takes place on Friday at 8 p.m. The event is an outdoor screening of short surf movies made by filmmakers from the East End. Tickets are $10, free for members, children, and students. Reservations are recommended. 

“By Design: Innovators in Art & Fashion in Conversation” takes place on Sunday from 4 to 6 p.m. The event features artist Ross Bleckner and designer Calvin Klein and is moderated by Women’s Wear Daily Editor-in-Chief Edward Nardoza. The conversation in the Lichtenstein Theater is followed by a cocktail reception with the speakers on the terrace. Tickets are $150 for members, $200 for non-members.
