This weekend presents quite the list of options. Expect to find art exhibition receptions, concerts and benefits for cultural organizations among the possibilities. The Bridgehampton Chamber Music Festival is back in town with four weeks of classical concerts. The Springs Invitational Opens on Friday night to launch its 17-day art exhibition at Ashawagh Hall. BRIDGEHAMPTON CHAMBER MUSIC SOCIETY at ATLANTIC GOLF CLUB – “2014 Benefit – An Evening to Celebrate” takes place on Saturday beginning at 6:30 p.m. The concert begins at 6:30 p.m. followed by cocktails and dinner at 7:30 p.m. Proceeds support the Bridgehampton Chamber Music Festival. ALEX FERRONE PHOTOGRAPHY GALLERY - “Pond Studies: Photography by Nijole Kudirka and Katherine Liepe-Levinson" has a Gallery Talk on Sunday at 1 p.m. The exhibition remains on view through August 31, 2014. Liepe-Levinson will discuss both her photography on view at the gallery as well as other projects. Kudirka will be demonstrating her photo encaustic collage process. The event is free. ASHAWAGH HALL - "47th Annual Artists of the Springs Invitational Exhibit" has an Opening Reception on Friday from 5 - 8 p.m. The exhibition remains on view through August 17. Over 125 artists will be on view. 50% of sales will benefit the Springs Improvement Society's Scholarship Fund. GUILD HALL - "Clothesline Art Sale" takes place on Saturday from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. The work of nearly 400 artists will be up for sale. Prices range from $50 - $2,000. LONGHOUSE RESERVE - “Tattered Rags: a lecture on the art of boro with Yoshiko Wada” takes place on Saturday at 10 a.m. in the gallery. Boro is the Japanese craft of assembling snippets of cotton into works of art. Admission is $20 for members, $30 for non-members. POLLOCK-KRASNER HOUSE AND STUDY CENTER - “Pollock’s Champions” has an Opening Reception and Panel on Sunday from 5 - 7 p.m. The exhibition remains on view through October 31. PONQUOGUE BEACH – “All for the Bays Concert” takes place this evening (Thursday) at 6 p.m. at Ponquogue Beach in Hampton Bays, NY. The event is hosted by the Hamptons Visitors Council. The concert features Rick Derringer, LA Woman, and Dub Steady. Tickets are $20. A VIP ticket can be purchased for $200, allowing access to a pre-concert meet and greet with the concert’s musical guests at Dockers on Dune Road in East Quogue, NY from 4 to 6 p.m. Proceeds benefit The Southampton Town Trustee Bay Replenishment Fund. MONTAUK
MONTAUK LIBRARY - "Jazz Goes to the Movies" takes place on Wednesday from 7:30 - 9 p.m. The concert features Vanessa Trouble, on vocals, Bob Stern on jazz violin, Jane Hastay on piano, and Peter Martin Weiss on bass.
