This weekend is popping with art on the East End. On Saturday, The Southampton Center opens for the season with two exhibitions, Guild Hall has a reception for four new exhibitions and a new gallery opens and celebrates in Amagansett. Friday's also busy with live music, art openings and a one-night-only immersive art installation by Jill Musnicki. AMAGANSETT 

ARC FINE ART opens its summer gallery on Saturday and hosts a reception held from 5 to 7 p.m. The group show in augurating their new space presents works by Helen Frankenthaler, Massimo Vitali, Donald Sultan, Sohan Qadri, Eric Cahan, Hunt Slonem, Gary Komarin, Gustavo Ten Hoever, Michael Rich, Meghan Gerety and Sarah Frassinelli. FRIENDS OF THE LONG POND GREENBELT - "What Comes Around II", a multi-media art installation by Jill Musnicki, takes place on Friday only at the South Fork Natural Museum Art Barn. A Reception takes place on Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. What Comes Around II is an immersive art installation created by images captured in wild areas on the Long Pond Greenbelt through motion-activated wildlife cameras that capture unseen passages of local wildlife. KATHRYN MARKEL FINE ARTS - "Christian Haub: Floats" has an Artist Reception on Saturday from 6 to 8 p.m. The show remains on view through July 20.  The exhibition features recent acrylic color constructions that exploit natural light and acrylic's pigment to create floating layers of color. EAST HAMPTON/SPRINGS 

GUILD HALL - "Foundation for Art and Preservation in Embassies (FAPE) Exhibition" has an Opening Reception on Saturday from 4 to 6 p.m. The exhibition remains on view through July 27. FAPE is an organization that provides permanent works of American Art for U.S. Embassies through preservation projects, commissions, and original collections. The exhibition will include works by artists from FAPE's print, photography, and site-specific collections.

“Billy Rayner” has an Opening Reception on Saturday from 4 to 6 p.m. The exhibition remains on view through July 27. Rayner will show watercolors illustrating the book Notes and Sketches: Travel Journals of William P. Rayner. 

“Nina Yankowitz: Criss~Crossing the Divine” has an Opening Reception on Saturday from 4 to 6 p.m. The exhibition remains on view through July 27. The interactive installation explores the similarities found in sacred texts such as the Old Testament, New Testament, The Quran, and Buddhist and Hindu texts.

“Arlene Slavin: Intersections” has an Opening Reception on Saturday from 4 to 6 p.m. The exhibition remains on view through October 13 at Guild Hall’s Roy and Frieda Furman Sculpture Garden and Wasserstein Family Gallery. Slavin’s translucent garden sculptures will be on view, along with her latest Intersections painting series.

LAWRENCE FINE ART - "Marjorie Strider: The Second International Girlie Show" has an Opening Reception on Saturday from 5 to 8 p.m. The exhibition remains on view through July 21. Lanina exhibits a multimedia presentation consisting of paintings, animations, and animatronic sculptures of music boxes.
