“ALICE HOPE: TAB” opens with a Reception on April 3 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Ricco/Maresca Gallery in Chelsea. The solo show presents new works made from recycled pull-top tabs. The exhibition continues through May 24. Alice Hope is based in the Hamptons. She is currently artist-in-residence at WNYC Green Space in NYC.

“HORIZONS” opens with a Reception on April 10 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Cheryl Hazan Gallery in TriBeCa. The group show features works by Russell Sharon, Jeff Muhs and Bradley Narduzzi Rex. Jeff Muhs is based in Southampton, NY.

"FLORA, FAUNA & FORM: THE SPRING THAW" opens on April 17 and continues through April 21 at the Refinery Hotel in Midtown. An Opening Reception will be held on April 17 from 7 to 10 p.m. The group show features works by Chick Bills, Sean Capone, Jose Carlos Casado, Sally Egbert, Cara Enteles, Tapp Francke, Jerome Lucani, Glenn Marshall, Steve Miller and Jeff Muhs. The show is co-curated by Kristin Carman Miller and Beth McNeill. A live music event will be held on April 18 from 7 to 10 p.m. Film screenings adnd artist talks by Casado and Capton on April 19 from 5 to 8 p.m.

"DONALD SULTAN: ARTIFICE" has an Opening Reception on April 24 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Ryan Lee in Chelsea at it's new expanded location. The exhibition presents eight paintings that introduce new imagery to Sultan's artistic practice plus variations on his signature poppy and lantern flower patterns. Sultan is based in the Hamptons.

“SOMETIMES THERE ARE NO RULES” – A solo exhibition by Yolanda Sánchez closes on April 12. This is the artist’s fourth solo show at the gallery. Her work mixes references to the natural world with contrasting compositional structures to create imagery that this experimental and separate from narrative.

"JULIAN SCHNABEL: FLAG PAINTING" closes on April 26 at KARMA in NoHo. The exhibition features new works that use found flags as canvas. To accompany the exhibition, KARMA published the monograph "Draw A Family which covers 40 years of Schnabel's practice. Schnabel lives in Montauk.

“ALLAN WEXLER: BREAKING GROUND” continues through May 3 at Ronald Feldman Fine Arts in SoHo. The solo show presents a series of hand-worked photo-based digital prints and sculpture which continues the artist’s exploration of the forms, functions and meanings of what is built by mankind and our relationship to natural world and the marks placed on the landscape.
