EAST END, LI

Lots of eyes are on NYC for New York City Art Week. If you're staying on the East End, there's art and culture to be found. Live music is presented on both Forks and two new shows open in Amagansett. Following is this week's list of cultural options on the East End:

EAST END – “WINTERFEST: LIVE ON THE VINE” continues its series of live music this weekend. The music festival features over 100 concerts held at multiple venues across the North Fork and Riverhead. The festival is extended through March 16.

The majority of concerts are held at wineries on the North Fork. Admission is $20 per concert or by a “Festival Hopper” passes. Festival Day Pass is $30, a Weekend Pass is $50 and a Festival Pass is $200. Music includes blues, soul, rock and country. For programming and details, visit www.liwinterfest.com.

AMAGANSETT 

CRAZY MONKEY GALLERY - “Sam Schoenheimer” and “Susan Gentile Hackett” have an Opening Reception on Saturday from 5 to 7 p.m. The exhibition remains on view through March 30. Gallery member artists have a separate exhibition on view. They include Andrea McCafferty, Daniel Schoenheimer, Jim Hayden, Barbara Bilotta, Lance Corey, Ellyn Tucker, June Kaplan, Mark E. Zimmerman, Bobbie Braun, Beth O’Donnell, Bo Parsons, Melissa Hin and Richard Mothes. The winners of the gallery’s 2014 Art Competition will be announced at the Reception. ILLE ARTS GALLERY - “Paper & Canvas: In Conversation” has an Opening Reception on Saturday from 5 to 7 p.m. The exhibition remains on view through April 5. Artists on view include Eugene Brodsky, Don Christensen, Denise Gale, Mary Heilmann, Anne Russinof, and Arlene Slavin. BRIDGEHAMPTON

ALMOND RESTAURANT - “Artists & Writers Night” hosted by David Kozatch takes place on Tuesday at 7 p.m. The evening is titled, “Telling Lies: Fiction on the East End” and will include a family style 3 course dinner by executive chef Jason Weiner. BRIDGEHAMPTON MUSEUM ARCHIVES BUILDING - “Parlor Jazz/Art of Song Concert: My Charmed Life” takes place on Friday at 7:30 p.m. The concert features vocalist Greg Galavotti, pianist Jane Hastay, bassist Peter Martin Weiss, and saxophonist Richie Scollo. TONIC ARTSPACE POP-UP GALLERY at KATHRYN MARKEL FINE ART- “Phenomena” has another Artist Reception on Saturday from 6 to 10 p.m. Exhibiting artists include Arrex, Maeve D’Arcy, Carly Haffner, Christine Lidrbauch, Scott Gibbons, and Grant Haffner. SAG HARBOR

BAY STREET THEATRE - “Mardi Gras Dance Party” takes place on Saturday at 8 p.m. The event features the music of the Hoodoo Loungers followed by Joe Delia & Thieves. Attendees are encouraged to come dressed in Mardi Gras attire. Tickets are $25 in advance, $35 at the box office. WATER MILL

PARRISH ART MUSEUM - "The Curator's View: Alicia Longwell" at 6 p.m. Alicia G. Longwell, the Parrish’s Lewis B. and Dorothy Cullman Chief Curator, will lead a walk through two permanent gallery exhibitions and give a talk on abstract art.
