Holiday art shows abound with small artworks presented geared for gift giving. One exception this week is a solo show by Jameson Ellis. Opening tonight at Wölffer Estate Vineyard, the exhibition is organized by Jess Frost, Kelly Padden, Silka Rittson-Thomas. Following is this week's list of where to find art in the Hamptons, the North Fork and Riverhead.
BRIDGEHAMPTON
CLAY ART GUILD OF THE HAMTONS - “Handmade Holiday” opens tomorrow (Friday) at Bridgehampton Archives and has a holiday reception on Saturday from 6 to 8 p.m. The exhibition remains on view on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays through Dec. 22 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The exhibition and sale features ceramic gifts crafted by local potters. ALEX FERRONE PHOTOGRAPHY GALLERY - “Small Works, Big Gifts” opens on Tuesday (Dec. 17) at 11:00 a.m. and remains on view through Jan. 12. A reception and holiday toast will be held on Dec. 21 from 4 to 7 p.m. The exhibition features 60+ framed works 14 inches or smaller. Participating artists include Carolyn Conrad, Steve Berger, Ray Germann, Jacques LeBlanc, Alex Ferrone, Meryl Spiegel, Mary Trentalange and more. Visitors are urged to bring one or two personal care products to donate to families in need through C.A.S.T. Southold Town. MONIKA OLKO GALLERY - “Artist Celebration, Holiday Party, and Toy Drive” takes place on Saturday from 5 to 8 p.m. The group show will remain on view through Jan. 15, 2014. Artists on view include Joël Moens, Christine Matthäi, María Schön, Alex Kveton, Justin Love, Dalton Portella, Philippe Heurtaux, and Rick Palin. ROMANY KRAMORIS GALLERY – “Holiday Invitational Featuring Local Artists” has a reception on Saturday from 3 to 5 p.m. The exhibition remains on view through Jan. 13, 2014.
