Happy Thanksgiving! Happy art viewing! This weekend, galleries are pulling out the stops to host exhibition openings, holiday shows, an art tray auction, book signing events and more. On Saturday, nearly all of the galleries in the Hamptons participate in the Thanksgiving Saturday Art Walk. Following is this week's list of of art and culture possibilities in the Hamptons and the North Fork.

AMAGANSETT 

“Art Walk in the Hamptons” takes place on Saturday in Amagansett, Bridgehampton, East Hampton, Sag Harbor, Southampton, and Water Mill. The Amagansett walk is self-guided only and takes place from 1 to 4 p.m. Participating galleries are Ille Arts, Neoteric Fine Art and Crazy Monkey Gallery. Artist-led tours begin at 1 p.m. in Bridgehampton, East Hampton, and Sag Harbor. For information, visit www.artwalkhamptons.com.

ALMOND RESTAURANT - “Artists and Writers Night” featuring Cynthia Hopkins takes place on Tuesday at 7 p.m. Hopkins, a Watermill Center Resident Artist and Musical Performance Artist, will host a three course family style meal including a glass of wine or beer. Reservations are required, admission with dinner is $40 per person. The restaurant is located at 1 Ocean Road, Bridgehampton, NY 11930. www.almondrestaurant.com.

NEOTERIC FINE ART - “SYNESTHESIA” has an Opening Reception and event this evening (Friday) from 6 to 10 p.m. The exhibition is inspired by the condition “synesthesia,” in which one experiences a crossing of the senses in response to stimuli. Participating artists will pair their work with a representation of the other 4 senses. The Opening event will include food samples by FeedFeed, wine tastings by Wolffer Estate Vineyeard, and aromatherapy and massage demos. A performance by the Neo-Political Cowgirls will take place at 7:30 followed by live music by San Joaquin, Olde Sake, and more from 9 to 10 p.m. Admission is $20. SYLVESTER & CO - “Thanksgiving Weekend Book Signing Event” takes place on Saturday from 5 to 7 p.m. The event includes local authors Pamela Fiori, Jack Ceglic, Scott Sanders, and Priscilla Rattazzi. Sylvester & co. at Home is located at 154 Main St, Amagansett, NY 11930. www.sylvesterathome.com.

BRIDGEHAMPTON

“Art Walk in the Hamptons” takes place on Saturday in Amagansett, Bridgehampton, East Hampton, Sag Harbor, Southampton, and Water Mill. Bridgehampton offers a guided and self-guided walking tours. The self-guided tour takes place from 1 to 4 p.m. The Guided Tour is led by artist Roison Bateman and begins at 1 p.m. at Mark Borghi Fine Art. Participating are Dan Flavin Art Institute, Julian Beck Gallery, Kathryn Markel Fine Arts, Mark Borghi Fine Art Inc. and Silas Marder Gallery. For information, visit www.artwalkhamptons.com.

PETER MARCELLE GALLERY - “Sag Harbor Whaling Museum Auction Benefit” takes place this evening (Friday) from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. The auction includes items and gift certificates provided by local restaurants, artists, and businesses. All auction proceeds benefit the Capital Campaign to restore the Benjamin Huntting House.  Admission is $10. SILAS MARDER GALLERY - “Warmth Holiday Gift Show” has an Opening Reception on Saturday from 4 to 8 p.m. The Opening is in conjunction with the gallery’s 4oth Annual Open House held today (Friday) through Sunday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. The gallery will also be working together with Craig Wright of Innersleeve Records to set up a record lounge with LPs and 45s for sale during the show, along with a selection of vintage record players for sale alongside the records. EAST HAMPTON/SPRINGS 

“Art Walk in the Hamptons” takes place on Saturday in Amagansett, Bridgehampton, East Hampton, Sag Harbor, Southampton, and Water Mill. East Hampton offers a guided and self-guided walking tours. The self-guided tour takes place from 1 to 4 p.m. The Guided Tour is led by curator, photographer and Art Walk Founder / Director Kathy Zeiger. It begins at 1 p.m. at Lawrence Fine Art. Participating are Eric Firestone Gallery, Gallery Valentine, Halsey Mckay Gallery, Harper's Books, Lawrence Fine Art, LSD Art, Vered Art Gallery, and Wallace Gallery. QUOGUE

QUOGUE LIBRARY –  “Tray Jolie” has an auction this evening (Friday) from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Local artists were given identical square trays to make into a work of art to be auctioned. The winners of the ongoing silent auction will be announced tonight along with refreshments. A portion of sales will benefit the library. SAG HARBOR

“Art Walk in the Hamptons” takes place on Saturday in Amagansett, Bridgehampton, East Hampton, Sag Harbor, Southampton, and Water Mill. The self-guided walking tour takes place from 1 to 4 p.m. The Guided Tour is led by photographer Ingrid Liot and begins at 1 p.m. at Romany Kramoris Gallery. Participating are Grenning Gallery, Hooke Sculpture Gallery, Monika Olko Gallery, Richard J. Demato Fine Arts Gallery, Kramoris Gallery and Tulla Booth Gallery. ROMANY KRAMORIS GALLERY - “Holiday Invitational Featuring Local Artists” opens today (Friday) and remains on view through Jan. 13. Receptions for the exhibition will be held on Sunday (Dec 1) from 3 to 5 p.m. plus Dec. 14 from 3 to 5 p.m., and Dec. 21 from 3 to 5 p.m. Participating artists include Dorothy Frankel, Christopher Engel, Lutha Leahy-Miller, and others. TULLA BOOTH GALLERY - "Eric Meola 'Born to Run' Photographs" has an Artist Reception on Saturday from 6 to 8 p.m. Images in the exhibition portray Bruce Springsteen and his band from a 1975 photo shoot and include photographs rarely exhibited in the United States. SOUTHAMPTON

TRIPOLI GALLERY OF CONTEMPORARY ART - “9th Annual Thanksgiving Collective: The Worlds we Create” has an Opening Reception on Saturday from 6 to 8 p.m. The exhibition remains on view through Jan. 20. SOUTHOLD

SOUTHOLD HISTORICAL SOCIETY - “Annual Candlelight Tour and Tree Lighting” takes place this evening (Friday) from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Society’s Maple Lane Museum Complex. The period buildings on the tour will be decorated for the holidays and guides in period costumes will lead visitors between buildings. The lighting of the Hamlet Christmas Tree will take place in front of the Ann Currie-Bell House at 5 p.m. Also, demonstrations of traditional holiday craft making in the Ann Currie-Bell House and refreshments with the tour of the Pine Neck Barn Annex. WATERMILL

“Art Walk in the Hamptons” takes place on Saturday in Amagansett, Bridgehampton, East Hampton, Sag Harbor, Southampton, and Water Mill. The Water Mill walk is self-guided only and takes place from 1 to 4 p.m.. Participating galleries are Hampton Hang Gallery and Sara Nightingale Gallery. HAMPTON HANG - "Hearth & Home" is hosting an Opening on Saturday from 6 to 8 p.m. The exhibition presents works by artists and artisans including Bruce Lieberman, Nico Yektai, Brehana Arnold, Michael Chiarello, Kimberly Goff, Charlotte Filibert, Helen Gifford and others.
