EAST HAMPTON, NY-

There was much fanfare at Guild Hall Museum on Oct. 26, 2013 when three new exhibitions were unveiled. The trio showcase historical and contemporary art made by Hamptons-based artists. Newly opened are "Tracing Moran's Romanticism & Symbolism," "Landscape Selections from the Permanent Collection" and “Christa Maiwald: Short Stories and Other Embroderies”.

BASIC FACTS: “Tracing Moran’s Romanticism & Symbolism” remains on view through Jan. 5, 2014. The exhibition includes works by American landscape painter Thomas Moran as well as some of his sources of inspiration.

“Landscape Selections from the Permanent Collection”  remains on view through Jan. 5, 2014. The exhibition includes work by 20th century artists from the museum’s collection.

“Christa Maiwald: Short Stories and Other Embroderies” remains on view through Jan. 5, 2014. Maiwald was the winner of the 73rd Annual Guild Hall Members Exhibition (2011).
