If you weren't there, then you missed it. A one-night only exhibition designed to celebrate the release of Joe Pintauro's new book was held at Stony Brook Southampton on Friday, July 26, 2013. And, no, it's not a book of plays penned by the famous playwright. Nunc et Semper is a collection of photographs made by Pintauro of images taken during trips to Venice.

The book is the first artist book published by TSR Editions and the Almost Beachfront Print Studio. The photographers were coaxed into prints by Pintauro and Scott Sandell, the director of the university's print studio. Nunc et Semper is the result of a year-long collaboration, according to Sandell.

"This is the first title from our fine art publishing venture, and we are especially proud and optimistic about the future," said Sandell. "Speaking of the future, we're discussing new book projects with Frederic Tuten, Iris Smyles, Billy Collins, and a collaborative project with Dave Martine of the Shinnecock Nation."

The book was described as less a repository for words and is "...more like a mobile installation,” according to Pintauro.

If you missed attending the book launch, take heart. The exhibition and Nunc et Semper is traveling to the John Jermain Memorial Library in Sag Harbor for a month-long presentation. The exhibition will be on view from Sept. 28 to Oct. 31, 2013. Pintauro and Sandell will be on hand during the library's "One for the Books" benefit cocktail party to speak about the book and the printing process. The event will be held on Oct. 19 with proceeds benefiting the library.

In the meantime, following are a few scenes from the book launch at the Avram Gallery at Stony Brook Southampton on July 26, 2013:
