Another busy weekend in the Hamptons! On Saturday night, there are two summer galas: Watermill Center and Rush Philanthropic Foundation. (Click here for details). Art Southampton presents its second art fair in Southampton through Monday. (Click here for details). In addition, there are plenty of new art openings and art events. ILLE ARTS GALLERY - “Recent Drawings” by Jack Ceglic has an Opening Reception on Sunday from 4 to 6 p.m. There will also be a Book Signing for Ceglic's new book “Jack: Drawings and Paintings by Jack Ceglic 2009 - 2012. PETER MARCELLE GALLERY - “Eric Ernst: Looking in the Rear View Mirror” has an Opening Reception on Saturday from 6 to 8 p.m. The show includes paintings and sculptures from 1986-2013. ASHAWAGH HALL - "MOTHER NATURE AS MUSE" has an Opening Reception on Saturday from 5 to 8 p.m. The exhibition will be open today (Friday) from 1 to 7 p.m. on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. and on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The show is curated by Mary Laspesia and features exhibiting artists Barbara Groot, Vincent Brandi, Mary Milne, Pamela Topham, Bill Shillalies, Bobbie Braun, Joan Kraisky, Mary Laspia, Anita Kusick and Christine Chew Smith and Anne Holton.

ERIC FIRESTONE GALLERY - “Amerikulture” by Kenny Scharf and Tseng Kwong Chi has an Opening Reception tonight (Friday) from 6 to 9 p.m. The exhibition was curated by Scharf and focuses on the two artist’s interpretations of Americana. Scharf will exhibit recent paintings and Tseng will show photographs. The exhibition remains on view through Aug 12. POLLOCK-KRASNER HOUSE AND STUDY CENTER at THE FIREPLACE PROJECT- “Hanging Out at The Club: Rethinking Abstract Expressionism” takes place on Sunday at 5 p.m. The lecture features Valerie Hellstein of The Phillips Collection. REMSENBURG ACADEMY - “Photopaintings” has an Artist Reception tonight (Friday) from 5 to 7 p.m. The artist, Cheryl Machat Dorskind is presented hand painted black and white photographs. CANIO’S BOOKS - “Master Artists Studio Series: Thursday Afternoons in the Studio” begins on Thursday at 4 p.m. with painter Whitney Handen’s Studio Tour. The tour continues on Aug 15 (James McMullan) and Sept 5 (Sheila Isham) at 4 p.m. Each visit includes a tour of the studio, time to talk with the artist, a discussion of their work, and a closing reception with refreshments. A VIP Artists Sneak Preview Reception takes place from 5 to 6 p.m followed by a Wine and Music Reception from 6 to 10 p.m. Participating artists include Mary Antczak, Steve Haweeli, Athos Zacharias, Evan Zatti, and Steven Zaluski.
