It's another busy weekend for art on the East End. Guild Hall's annual Artist Members Exhibition opens on Saturday, the Parrish throws its first benefit party of 2013 and galleries open new shows. Here's the low down on what's new in the Hamptons art scene:

AMAGANSETT 

NEOTERIC FINE ART - “James Katsipis: #COLDWATERSURFERSERIES” has an opening reception tonight from 6 to 9 p.m. The artist, a Montauk native, will exhibit photographs that document his experience in cold water surfing. The reception includes live music by The Montauk Project. The show remains on view through May 22. The gallery is located at 208 Main Street, Amagansett, NY 11930. www.neotericfineart.com.

CUTCHOGUE 

ALEX FERRONE PHOTOGRAPHY GALLERY & STUDIO - “Inaugural Exhibit” has an opening reception on Saturday to celebrate the opening of Alex Ferrone’s new gallery. The exhibit will feature works from Ferrone’s “Aerial Observations - Part B” series.  The show remains on view through June 12. The gallery is located at 25425 Main Road, Cutchogue, NY 11935.

SOUTHOLD HISTORICAL SOCIETY at CASTELLO DI BORGHESE VINEYARD - “Art Auction” takes place on Saturday with a preview at 6 p.m. and an auction beginning at 7 p.m. The auction includes work by Long Island artists of the past and the present. The event benefits participating artists and the Southold Historical Society. The donation for admission is $10, which includes wine and hors d'oeuvres. The vineyard is located at 17150 County Road 48, Cutchogue, NY 11935.

EAST HAMPTON/SPRINGS 

ASHAWAGH HALL  - “Thank You Art Show” has an opening reception on Saturday (Apr 27) from 5:30 to 11 p.m. The weekend only show continues on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The show includes over 100 local artists. It is sponsored by Hampton Photo Arts. Ashawagh Hall is located at 780 Springs Fireplace Rd, Springs, NY 11937.    www.ashawagh-hall.org

GUILD HALL - “75th Annual Artist Members Exhibition” opens on Saturday from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. The show remains on view through June 1. The top prize for the juried show is a solo exhibition in the Spiga Gallery. This year's judge is Elisabeth Sussman, Curator and Sondra Gilman Curator of Photography at the Whitney Museum of American Art. The museum is located at 158 Main Street  East Hampton, NY 11937. www.guildhall.org 

RIVERHEAD

EAST END ARTS - “Art & Science” has an opening reception today from 5 to 7 p.m. The show explores the connections between art and science. The exhibition is juried by artist and science teacher Kryn Olson.  The gallery is located at 133 East Main Street, Riverhead, NY 11901. www.eastendarts.org

SAG HARBOR

RJD GALLERY - “Hope’s Journey” by Jeanette Martone has an opening reception on Saturday from 6 to 8 p.m. Martone won the Retreat Art Contest, judged by Christina Strassfield, Director of the Guild Hall Museum, and Kathryn Markel, owner of Kathryn Markel Fine Arts of Bridgehampton and Chelsea, NY. The show remains on view through May 11. The gallery is located at 90 Main Street, Sag Harbor, NY 11963. www.rjdgallery.com 

ROMANY KRAMORIS GALLERY - “Dinah Maxwell Smith and Joyce Brian” opened on April 25 and has an opening reception on Saturday from 4 to 6 p.m.  Both artists draw inspiration from aspects of their life on Long Island. The show remains on view through May 16. The gallery is located at 41 Main Street, Sag Harbor, NY 11963. www.KramorisGallery.com

SOUTHAMPTON

SOUTHAMPTON CULTURAL CENTER - “Shaping the Surface” has an opening reception today from 5 to 7 p.m. The focus of the show is the tactile or dimensional quality of the surface created by the artist. Exhibiting artists include Bob Bachler, James Gemake, Margaret Kerr, Pope Noell, and Charles Waller. The exhibition is curated by Arlene Bujese. The show remains on view through May 20. The gallery is located at Levitas Center for the Arts, 25 Pond Lane, Southampton Village, NY 11968. www.southamptonculturalcenter.org

WATERMILL

PARRISH ART MUSEUM - "Jack Youngerman Talk"  gives an informal gallery talk tonight at 6 p.m. Admission is $10. The talk is sold out but a waiting list will form before the talk. The museum is located at 279 Montauk Hwy, Water Mill, NY

PARRISH ART MUSEUM - "Spring Fling" is sold out.
