Art openings, live music, performance and presentations of creativity are available this weekend in the Hamptons and the East End. Here is this week's list of where to find art and cultural happenings.

AMAGANSETT 

NEOTERIC FINE ART - “Neoteric Symposium II” takes place tonight (Friday) from 8 to 10 p.m. Short presentations will be given by Scott Bluedorn, Mark Crandall, Denise Lassaw, James Ryan and Serge LeComte. BRIDGEHAMPTON

PETER MARCELLE GALLERY – “The Women, Part II” has an opening reception on Saturday from 6 to 8 p.m. The exhibition remains on view through March 3. The show focuses on women artists from the East End who work in abstraction. Exhibiting artists include Roisin Bateman, Marilyn Church, Asia Ingalls, Susan Lazarus-Reimen, Jane Martin, Kryn Olson, Nicole Parcher, Amy Pilkington, Barbara Press, Anne Seelbach, Ultra Violet, Evan Zatti and others. The gallery is located at 2411 Main Street, Bridgehampton, NY 11932. www.petermarcellecontemporary.com

EAST HAMPTON/SPRINGS 

ASHAWAGH HALL – "HPA/OVERXPOSED" group photography exhibition has an opening reception on Saturday from 5:30 to 11 p.m. The exhibition continues on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Over 50 photographers are part of the show that is designed to say thanks to photography customers of Hampton Photo Arts in Bridgehampton. "HPA/OVERXPOSED" is presented by Hampton Photo Arts and curated by Laurie Barone-Schaefer. Ashawagh Hall is located at 780 Springs Fireplace Rd, Springs, NY 11937.  www.ashawagh-hall.org

RIVERHEAD

LONG ISLAND WINTERFEST - King Scallop performs at the Winterfest Warm up at the Hilton tonight (Friday) at 7 p.m. Free admission. The concert is held at the Hilton Garden Inn, 2038 Old Country Rd, Riverhead, NY 11901. For this weekend's line-up of Jazz on the Vine festival performances, visit www.liwinterfest.com. Concerts take place in Sagaponack, the North Fork and Riverhead.

SOUTHAMPTON

SOUTHAMPTON CULTURAL CENTER - Stony Brook Opera’s “Hansel and Gretel” takes place on Sunday (Feb 24) at 2 p.m. The performance is  new chamber version of Humperdinck’s “Hansel and Gretel.” Tickets are $20 general admission, $10 students, and $5 children under 12.  The Southampton Cultural Center is located at Levitas Center for the Arts, 25 Pond Lane, Southampton Village, NY 11968. www.southamptonculturalcenter.org

WATERMILL

PARRISH ART MUSEUM - Richie Siegler Quartert performs jazz with a Latin groove tonight (Friday) at 6 p.m. Siegler is the founding director of Escola de Samba BOOM (a 50-member percussion group) and organizer of the summer drumming sessions at Sagg Main Beach in Sagaponack. Admission is $10 or free for museum members. Tickets are required.  parrishart.org

WATERMILL CENTER - “Fall of the Rebel Angels” takes place on Saturday at 6:30 p.m. The performance is inspired by the paintings of Peter Paul Rubens (1577-1640) and is a collaboration between choreographer by Catherine Galasso and filmmaker/visual artist Brent Green.
