SILAS MARDER GALLERY - "Dandelion Clock" by John Carpenter will be unveiled with a reception on Sat from 5 to 9 p.m. The work is a large-scale interactive video installation. Projected are a world of floating dandelion seeds that react to motions made by the person emerged in the piece. ASHAWAGH HALL - “45th Artists of the Springs Invitational” has an opening reception tonight (Friday) from 4 to 7 p.m. The Invitational remains on view through Aug 19. The Invitational was curated by Christina Mossaides Strassfield, Museum Director and Chief Curator for Guild Hall Museum. GLENN HOROWITZ BOOKSELLER - "WOMEN: SUN-STAINED SYMBOLS" - New work by Ryan McGinness. A reception will be held on Sat from 6 to 8 p.m. The exhibition consists of “process drawings” and cyanotypes with a focus on the female nude. POLLOCK-KRASNER HOUSE AND STUDY CENTER- “Men of Fire” has an opening reception on Sunday (Aug 5) from 5 to 7 p.m. The opening features a  gallery talk by co-curators Helen A. Harrison and Sarah Powers with Hood Museum Director Michael Taylor.  The exhibition is on view from Aug 2 through Oct 27.
