AMAGANSETT

Ille Arts - "11" - A solo show by Liz Markus has an opening on Sat from 6 to 8 p.m. The art is inspired by the memory of being bored in the seventies, having too much time to kill, and doodling loud doodles to dwindle it down, according to an exhibition release. The show continues through July 11. The gallery is located at 216a Main St, Amagansett, NY. Three To See pic.

BRIDGEHAMPTON

PETER MARCELLE GALLERY - "Exteriors and Interiors" - New work by Edward Holland opens on Sat from 6 to 8 p.m. The show of collaged abstract paintings remains on view through Jun 24. The gallery is located at 2411 Main street, Bridgehampton, NY. www.petermarcellecontemporary.com Three To See PIC

BRIDGE GARDENS - "Uncommon Ground III" opens quietly on Wed, Jun 20. The outdoor sculpture show features works by Hans Van de Bovenkamp, Steve Tobin, Gino Miles, Wendy Lehman, Joel Perlman, Michael Enn Sirvet and Kevin Barrett.

An opening will be held on Sat, July 21 from 6 to 8:30 p.m. It remains on view through Sept 10. The exhibition is curated by Cheryl Sokolow of C Fine Art. Bridge Gardens is located at 36 Mitchell Lane, Bridgehampton, NY.  www.peconiclandtrust.org

THE RETREAT - "Artists Against Abuse Gala" takes place on Sat at The Ross School Lower Campus Field House, 739 Butter Lane, Bridgehampton, NY. Cocktails begin at 6 p.m. Tickets are $450 and up. The fundraiser features a silent and live art auction. Proceeds benefit The Retreat. For details: www.artistsagainstabuse.com.

ASHAWAGH HALL - "For the Love of Art" opens on Sat from 6 to 8 p.m. The show runs through Jun 24. The show features 19 artists from the East End.

Exhibiting work are Abby Abrams, Mary Antczak, Zoe Breen, Rosalind Brenner, Linda Butti, Hector deCordova, Phoebe Fisher-Wolters, Suzzanne Fokine, Trish Franey, Phyllis Hammond, Anne Holton, Mary Laspia, Cynthia Loewen, Setha Low, Deborah Palmer, Alyce Peifer, Pamela Vossen, Kris Warrenburg, and Evan Z.

SAG HARBOR

HOOKE SCULPTURE GALLERY - "Works in Marble, Bronze, and Wood" features sculptors Robert Hooke, David Begbie, Peter Ball, Dennis Leri, and Bill King. The opening reception is Sat from 6 to 8 p.m. The gallery is located at 150 Main Street, Sag Harbor, NY.  www.hookegallery.com

SOUTHAMPTON

SOUTHAMPTON HISTORICAL MUSEUMS AND RESEARCH CENTER“Chris Murray’s Paintings of New York” has an opening reception on Sat from 4 to 6 p.m. The works on view depict historic buildings in Southampton. The show remains on view through Aug 11. WAINSCOTT - "Wild, Wild East" at The Mad Gallery presents a weekend-only show of edgy contemporary art. An opening will be held on Sat from 5 to 8 p.m. Exhibiting artists are Fab 5 Freddy, Evan Yee, Tammy Smith and Wyatt Neumann. The gallery will be located at 39 Industrial Road in Wainscott through Sunday. WATER MILL
WATER MILL MUSEUM - "20th Annual Member's Art Exhibition" opened on Jun 14. An opening reception will be held on Sun, Jun 24, at 11 a.m. The show remains on view through Jul 9. A solo sculpture show by Jonathan Pearlman coincides with the Member's Art Exhibition. The museum is located at 41 Old Mill Road  Water Mill, NY. www.watermillmuseum.org
