“Short Stories and Other Embroideries” presents mixed media works that feature embroideries on various surfaces and objects by Christa Maiwald. All of the works are portraiture that depict people from the political, artworld or other public areas that typically reflect on issues raised by actions of the individual.
Maiwald won the Best in Show in the 73rd Annual Guild Hall Artists Members Exhibition held in 2011. The current solo show at Guild Hall Museum is the prize for the artwork win in the Members Exhibition.
