About
Hamptons Art Hub is based in the Hamptons on Eastern Long Island in New York.
Hamptons Art Hub is the brainchild of arts writer Pat Rogers. Hamptons Art Hub paints the portrait of a vibrant arts colony by revealing the art and art happenings on the Eastern End of Long Island. Since artists from the Hamptons are an international bunch, Hamptons Art Hub can be found wandering in many places.
Dispatches from the art front include exhibition previews and coverage, artist profiles, coverage of art fairs, and art news pertaining to the Hamptons. Artistic happenings on the unusual side can also be found on these virtual pages. So can dispatches from art happenings in New York City. Exhibition coverage in spots around the country or across the globe occasionally appears as well.
Pat Rogers has been writing about arts and culture in the Hamptons since 1997. She contributed weekly to The Southampton Press (now The Press News Group) from 1997 to 2010. She was an arts columnist for Long Island Pulse magazine from 2007 through 2011. Rogers has received arts writing awards or recognition from the New York Press Association and the Society of Professional Journalists (Chapter: Press Club of Long Island).
This summer, Sage Cotignola joins Hamptons Art Hub as an intern in the art department. Cotignola is a studying illustration at Pratt.
What a beautiful website, and such a cool idea. Hope this all works out: would be great for the art world, the artists, the viewers and collectors, the people who might be curious about what goes on in this crazy scene called the art world, and possibly even for you.
Great site! Keep posting. This is a great way to be connected to the Hamptons art scene even when out of state. I loved the “Danger” article!
