BRIDGEHAMPTON

LUCILLE KHORNAK GALLERY - "Demarchelier: Exposed" has an Opening Reception on Thursday, July 27, 2017 from 5 to 8 p.m. The exhibition remains on view through August 10, 2017. On view are figurative works by Eric Demarchelier that employ a peeling and scraping technique that evokes intimacy. RIVERHEAD

SUFFOLK COUNTY HISTORICAL SOCIETY MUSEUM - "Art & Bottle - Indigenous Suffolk County: North and South Forks" takes place on Thursday, July 27, 2017 at 6 p.m. The illustrated presentation and discussion by artist Jeremy Dennis will explore culturally significant Native American locations on the North and South Forks and his efforts to help preserve these sites through photography. SOUTHAMPTON ARTS CENTER - "ABOUT FACE: Contemporary Portraiture" has an Opening Reception on Friday, July 28, 2017 from 5 to 8 p.m. The exhibition remains on view through September 17, 2017. The show is curated by David Kratz and Scott Avett and presented with New York Academy of Art. On view are sculptures, paintings and photographs exploring the way the human form is presented in art being made today.
