MvVO ART is an innovative art venture creating opportunities for artists and art lovers to connect. An Art Talk Panel Discussion on Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at the Southampton Arts Center is the Opening Event of MvVO ART’s latest endeavor—AD ART SHOW—a celebration of contemporary art created by advertising professionals. These creative individuals follow in the footsteps of Warhol, Magritte, Rosenquist, Lautrec, and many other world-renowned artists who worked in Advertising before becoming the artists we revere today.

The July 5 Art Talk, entitled, “Is Advertising Home to the Next Big Name in Art?," will be held in the theater at the historic Southampton Arts Center, on Jobs Lane in Southampton, New York on July 5, 2017 (5:30 to 8 pm).
The Panel will address some intriguing questions including: Is the next Andy Warhol creating contemporary masterpieces while working in advertising? Does advertising influence our art aesthetic? Are artists stigmatized in the art world by their advertising day jobs?
The Art Talk Panel Discussion will be moderated by Patricia Corrigan, of CBS News Hour, with panelists representing diverse points of view. A special guest is artist, Ron Burkhardt—an award-winning Creative Director and prominent contemporary artist with more than 60 gallery shows. Ron is an excellent example of the Artists emerging from Advertising to become a force on the contemporary art scene.

As the kick-off event of MvVO’s upcoming AD ART SHOW, the Art Talk is also a Hampton’s style event on the gorgeous lawn of the Southampton Arts Center with wonderful local wines from Lieb Cellars, refreshments from Belvoir Fruit Farms and delicious bites from Buoy One (yes—the signature Thai Shrimp Bites!) MvVO ART will launch AD ART SHOW in Spring 2018 in New York City. The AD ART SHOW will be open to artists currently working in and from Advertising in New York as well as internationally. Artists submissions (including paintings, sculpture, photography and mixed media) will be vetted by a Jury of art experts.
