Art lovers are in luck this weekend with exhibitions and events taking place across the Hamptons and East End. On Friday, Greenport is the place to be with exhibition openings and an artist talk. On Saturday, head to Amagansett, Bridgehampton, East Hampton or Westhampton Beach for new and promising exhibitions. Highlights include an Artist Talk on narrative painting at RJD Gallery, a photography group show in Bridgehampton, a nature-inspired 12-artist show in East Hampton and more. GREENPORT

EAST END ARTS at PECONIC LANDING COMMUNITY CENTER - "Genre Paintings by Peter Beston" has an Opening Reception on Friday, June 23, 2017 from 4 to 6 p.m. An Artist Talk will take place at the Reception. The exhibition remains on view through September 29, 2017. On view are a series of 3 x 6 foot paintings set in the environment of southern Florida, drawing on the artist's career in film. RJD GALLERY - "Suspension of Disbelief" has an Opening Reception on Saturday, June 24, 2017 from 5 to 8:30 p.m. An Artist Talk takes place from 5 to 6 p.m., moderated by arts journalist Pat Rogers. EAST HAMPTON

ASHAWAGH HALL - "Natural Selection" has an Opening Reception on Saturday, June 24, 2017 from 5 to 8 p.m. The exhibition opens on Friday, June 23, and continues through Sunday, June 25, 2017. Drawing inspiration from earth, water and sky, 12 Long Island artists have produced unique pieces that reflect their individual interpretations of the essence of nature.

The group show will present abstraction, figurative and impressionistic works. Exhibiting artists are Abby Abrams, Kirsten Benfield, Scott Bluedorn, Chris Butler, Kurt Giehl, Anne Holton, Mary Jaffe, Mary Laspia, Mark Perry, Karen Peters Sloves, Richard Udice, and Rona Winter.

ELAINE DE KOONING HOUSE - "John Riepenhoff & Ryan Wallace"has an Opening Reception on Sunday, June 25, 2017. The exhibition remains on view through August 2017. The exhibition features art sited to the architecture of the former artist's home by John Riepenhoff and Ryan Wallace.
