The South Street Gallery of Greenport has issued a Call for Artists for its second annual "Postcards for 88.3 WPPB" benefit exhibition and art sale to be held at the gallery in June. The deadline to submit is Monday, May 29, 2017 at 6 p.m.

Participating artists are invited to create an artwork on a complimentary 5 x 7 inch card stock or a self-provided 5 x 7 inch surface to benefit 88.3 WPPB, Long Island's only NPR Station. Artists can submit up to three artworks. Registration is open to all artists. There is no fee to participate.

Art work should be signed on the back ONLY. All works will be posted on The South Street Gallery website.

One of the unique aspects of the "Postcards for 88.3 WPPB" benefit Art Exhibition is the fact all artworks are purchased without the identity of the artist discovered until after the purchase. The mystery aspect of the sale encourages the discovery of artists that may be unknown to the purchaser. It also fosters dialogue at the benefit art sale on the possible identities of artists contributing works for sale and the artist who may have made the anonymous work exhibited in the art sale.

All art works will be sold for $50 with the entire purchase price benefiting 88.3 WPPB.
