Happy Thanksgiving from Hamptons Art Hub! This weekend, when you’re not partaking in—or recovering from—a feast of gratitude, be sure to check out the cultural offerings in The Hamptons and around the East End. Following are our picks for the best things to do this holiday weekend in The Hamptons and North Fork.

East Hampton House & Garden Tour

The East Hampton Historical Society will be hosting its annual East Hampton House & Garden Tour this weekend which kicks off with a Cocktail Party on Friday, November 25, from 6 to 8:30 p.m.

The tour itself takes place on Saturday, November 26, from 1 to 4:30 p.m. Back for its 32nd year, the self-guided tour features five houses with diverse appeal in East Hampton. The tour includes a modern house on Lazy Point to the White Farm House, which was built on a foundation dating to 1750. The Opening Night Cocktail Party will be at the Maidstone Club. Tickets are $200 each and includes a ticket to the House Tour.

Tickets to the House & Garden Tour only are $65 in advance and $75 if purchased on the day of the tour. Tickets are available at the East Hampton Historical Society website. Proceeds benefit the East Hampton Historical Society.

“It’s a Wonderful Life” Live Radio Play

Center Stage at the Southampton Cultural Center will present three performances of the live radio play adaptation of the classic holiday film “It’s a Wonderful Life” on Friday, November 25 and Sunday, November 27, 2016.

Joe Landry’s adaptation takes the movie classic and turns it into a radio play, with the story playing out as if in a radio studio with appropriate sound effects for a fictional “broadcast.” The movie, directed by Frank Capra and starring James Stewart, tells the story of a man who made to realize the significance of his life after a visit from an angel on Christmas Eve. The 70-minute performances, directed by Michael Disher, will be at 7 p.m. on Friday, November 25, and at 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. on Sunday.

Holiday Market and Party at the Parrish

The Parrish Art Museum in Water Mill is hosting its annual Hamptons Holiday Party and Market on Friday and Saturday. There's extra fun on Friday night with the Patrons Party. Taking place from 5 to 8 p.m., guests can enjoy cocktails, hors d’oeuvres and music while shopping during special hours for the Holiday Market. They can also meet authors at the book signing—including artist Donald Sultan signing copies of “Donald Sultan: The Disaster Paintings.” Other featured authors include Erica Abeel, “Wild Girls,” and Jon Gilman and April Gornik, “God’s Love We Deliver Cookbook,” among others. Patrons Party tickets start at $200, or $150 for museum members.

The Holiday Market is open for shopping on Friday, November 25, from noon to 5 p.m. and Saturday, November 26 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Free with museum admission. The Parrish Museum is located at 279 Montauk Highway, Water Mill, NY 11976. Click here for more event details.

Southold Candlelight Tour

The Southold Historical Society will host its annual Candlelight Tour on Friday, November 25, 2016 from 3 to 6 p.m. The Candlelight Tour winds through the historic houses at the Historical Society’s museum complex and includes a visit with Santa Claus in the barn. This year, visitors will also be able to visit the new pop-up Christmas boutique, featuring ornaments, holiday decorations and custom-made boxwood wreaths. Jules Feiffer on Creativity & Cousin Joseph

Artist and writer Jules Feiffer will give a talk on creativity and his latest book at Canio’s Books in Sag Harbor on Friday, November 25, 2016 at 5 p.m. Jules Feiffer will discuss “Cousin Joseph,” a graphic-noir novel that deals with some of the moral dilemmas in Hollywood during the Great Depression. The book, a prequel to Feiffer’s graphic novel “Kill My Mother,” was published in 2016.

The winner of the Pulitzer Prize in 1986 for his editorial cartooning, Feiffer is also an author, playwright and screenwriter. Feiffer's career spans over seven decades with noteworthy moments including election to the American Academy of Arts and Letters in 1995 and being added to the Comic Book Hall of Fame in 2004. Galleries Gear Up for Holiday Weekend

The weekend calendar, as reflected in Hamptons Art Hub’s East End Galleries Scene, is jammed with receptions and gatherings at galleries in the Hamptons and around the East End to mark the opening of new exhibitions and to celebrate the season. Click here for details.

Traditional offerings on Saturday include the Tripoli Gallery’s “12th Annual Thanksgiving Collective” in Southampton and the “Small Artworks Holiday Invitational” at Romany Kramoris in Sag Harbor. New this year are “The Circle—Small Works Exhibit” juried show at Alex Ferrone Gallery in Cutchogue and the group exhibition “Halcyon” at the new Raison D’Etre gallery in Southampton.

Looking for more? Stop in at Grenning Gallery at their pop up in the Christy's Building Art Center in Sag Harbor for donuts and coffee Friday afternoon from noon to 4 p.m. and take in paintings made recently by Russian and American artists working en plein air in Maine and Sag Harbor.
