The Islip Art Museum co-hosts its third and final 2016 Slide Slam revealing Long Island artists on Saturday, November 12, 2016 at the Long Island Museum in Stony Brook. Slide Slam is designed to showcase artists currently working on Long Island. It also aims to cross-pollinate communities on Long Island (Nassau, Suffolk, Queens and Brooklyn) to heighten awareness that contemporary artists are located across Long Island. The program will also introduce selected artists to Long Island art communities in a series curated shows set in Suffolk County.

For each Slide Slide events, artists have five minutes to present their work to an audience that includes curators and arts professionals. The event wraps up with a networking meet and greet where the audience and the artists mingle.
