1. Hampton Theater Company Presents "Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike" 

Hampton Theater Company presents "Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike" from May 26, 2016 to June 12, 2016 at Quogue Community Hall.

"Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike" by Christopher Durang is a screwball take on themes by playwright and short story writer Anton Chekhov that highlights the absurdities and agonies of 21st century life. The production is directed by Diana Marbury. Stars Smeralda Abel, Andrew Botsford, Rosemary Cline, Amanda Griemsmann, Jane Lowe and Eduardo Ramos.

2. Jazz en Plein Air: Emilio Solla Tango Jazz Quartet

"Jazz en Plein Air" begins its 2016 season with a performance by Emilio Solla Tango Jazz Quartet on Friday, May 27, 2016 at 6 p.m. at The Parrish Art Museum.

Argentina born and New York based pianist and composer Emilio Solla will appear with his Tango Jazz quartet to perform on the Parrish's covered Mildred C. Brinn Terrace. Guests are encouraged to bring chairs and blankets to enjoy the live outdoor music. The Golden Pear Cafe will be serving food and drink specials available for purchase.

3. Performance by Trisha Brown Dance Company at Watermill Center

"Trisha Brown: In Plain Site" takes place on Saturday, May 28, 2016 at 5 p.m. at Watermill Center.

"In Plain Site" is a selection of material from the Trisha Brown Dance Company’s extensive repertoire. The site-specific performance piece will free the dancers from the constrictions of the conventional stage and allow them to take advantage of the unexpected spacial demands of the venue.

4. An Evening of Stories, Songs and Comedy with Mario Cantone & Jerry Dixon

"How Long Has This Been Going On?" with Mario Cantone & Jerry Dixon takes place on Saturday, May 28, 2016 at 8 p.m. at Bay Street Theater. Comedian, writer and actor Mario Cantone and actor, lyricist, and director Jerry Dixon will take the stage together for a show that combines theater, popular music, and comedy.

5. Violin Recital & Artist Reception at Perlman Music Program

Perlman Music Program alum violinist Miki-Sophia Cloud will perform a recital of music by Bach, Brahms, and Mozart with pianist Jessica Xylina Osborne on Saturday, May 28, 2016 at 5 p.m. at the Clark Arts Center. A founding member of Grammy-nominated ensemble A Far Cry, the New York City-based violinist performs as a recitalist, chamber musician and orchestra-leader.

Includes an invitation to the Artists Reception after the concert featuring artists of ARTsi, held at 6:30 p.m.

6. 20th Annual Community Mosaic Street Painting Festival

East End Arts presents the 20th Annual Community Mosaic Street Painting Festival on May 29, 2016 from noon to 5 p.m. Taking place in Downtown Riverhead on East Main St. between Roanoke Ave. and East Ave. and on the grounds of East End Arts (133 E. Main St.), the festival offers fun for the entire family. Expect live music, food trucks, an arts and crafts fair, drumming, dancing and more.

7. Book Talk: "Point Suite Contemporary Art" 

Active Ideas Productions and the Hampton Library present a Book Talk with artist-author Annika Connor and the book "Point Suite Contemporary Art" on Tuesday, May 31, 2016 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Hampton Library. Annika Connor is one of the editor-authors of "Point Suite Contemporary Art" which highlights the work of 34 artists and examines what’s happening in the emerging arts community.

8. World Premiere of "The Forgotten Woman" 

A new play by Jonathan Tolins, "The Forgotten Woman," has its world premiere on Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at 7 p.m. at Bay Street Theater. The play remains on view through June 19, 2016.

This new play centers around Margaret Meier, a gifted soprano about to embark on an intimidating journey towards a successful career in the opera. The audience will join Margaret as she grapples with every aspect of her life in anticipation of this major change, including her troubled marriage, her child, her self-image and the price she must pay for her career. Directed by Noah Himmelstein.

9. Piano Concert With Joan Rowland

A Piano Concert with Joan Rowland takes place on Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at noon at the Rogers Memorial Library. Pianist Joan Rowland will perform works by Chopin, Beethoven, and Schubert. Lunchtime refreshments will be served.

10. The Nancy Atlas Project Performance at The Surf Lodge

The Nancy Atlas Project will perform on Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at 6 p.m. at The Surf Lodge. The Nancy Atlas Project will provide live music while the sun sets over Fort Pond for the band's 20th year anniversary. The local favorites will perform original music and classic rock covers.

11. Sounds of Summer: The HooDoo Loungers Perform

"Sounds of Summer: The HooDoo Loungers" takes place on Friday, June 3, 2016 at 6 p.m. at The Parrish Art Museum.

The New York City based group The HooDoo Loungers will perform their New Orleans inspired party music on the Parrish's Mildred C. Brinn Terrace. Guests are encouraged to bring a lawn chair or blanket for the al fresco live music performance.

12. 2nd Annual Food Lab Conference

The 2nd Annual Food Lab Conference takes place from June 3 to 5, 2016 at Stony Brook Southampton. Events begin on Friday, June 3, 2016 at 6 p.m.

The focus of this year’s conference will be the “Future of Food—Trends, Tastes and Directions: Who’s Shaping Them and Where They’re Heading.” The keynote speaker for this year’s conference on Saturday, June 4, will be Chef Carla Hall, co-host of ABC television’s “The Chew." The conference provides opportunities to meet and listen to some of the country’s most creative and influential chefs, food writers, winemakers and brewers. The weekend also includes boat rides, tastings, samplings, and luncheons.

13. Book Launch With Artist Meghan Boody

A book launch for Meghan Boody's "We Are Gods In The Chrysalis" takes place on Saturday, June 4, 2016 at 5 p.m. at Harper's Books and co-presented with James Salomon.

"We Are Gods In the Chrysalis" presents artwork by Artist Meghan Boody with text by Katie Roiphe and Sue Scott. Boody is known for her digital works which make use of hundreds of Photoshop layers to create strange and magical environments. The book tells image-based stories of young women in female versions of the male heroic quest and combines fairy tale imagery, myth and the artist's personal memory.
