1. Writer's Speak Wednesday with Gregory Pardlo at Stony Brook Southampton

An author's talk and reading with Gregory Pardlo takes place on Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at Stony Brook Southampton. The reception begins at 6:30 p.m. and the reading begins at 7 p.m. Pulitzer Prize-winning poet and author of Digest Gregory Pardlo will read from a collection of his works.

2. "What a Long Strange Trip - Two Evenings of The Grateful Dead" at Bay Street Theater

"What a Long Strange Trip" takes place on Friday and Saturday, March 4 & 5, 2016, at 8 p.m. The weekend performances feature two unique concerts. Each night will highlight songs from The Grateful Dead’s repertoire pulled from their 50+ year career. The lineup of performers  include members of Loki, one of the first ever Grateful Dead bands,; the original Moondogs; Unbroken Chain and the Dead Music All-Stars.

3. The Met: Live in HD - Puccini’s Manon Lescaut New Production at Guild Hall

The Met: Live in HD - Puccini’s Manon Lescaut screens on Saturday, March 5, 2016 at 1 p.m. at Guild Hall. Director Richard Eyre places Puccini's opera in a film noir setting in occupied France. Met Principal Conductor Fabio Luisi leads the score. Soprano Kristine Opolais and Tenor Roberto Alagna star in the production.

4. 10th Annual Poetry at Poquatuck – Celebration of Poetry + Art

The 10th Annual Poetry at Poquatuck Celebration takes place on Saturday, March 5, 2016 from 7 to 9 p.m. The event includes a poetry reading and pop-up gallery to benefit Poquatuck Hall. Each poet’s reading includes one poem inspired by an artistic work created by artist he or she is paired with. Visitors are invited to BYOB and, if inspired, an appetizer or dessert to share.

5. Concert: Kathleen Tagg, classical pianist at Montauk Library

A Concert featuring Kathleen Tagg takes place on Sunday, March 6, 2016 from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. at the Montauk Library. Classical pianist, composer and speaker Kathleen Tagg will perform an early work by Mozart, pieces by Liszt, Brahms and Ravel, and a transcription of Gershwin's Embraceable You by Earl Wild.
