Winterfest Live on the Vine continues with its second weekend of live music and wine-related events held in various venues on the North Fork, in The Hamptons and Riverhead. The full line-up of options can be found by visiting their website. We've put together a list of highlights for concerts this weekend as well as events where experiencing wine is placed front and center.

Winterfest Live on the Vine features more than 70 concerts and wine events in over 40 unique venues, including vineyard tasting rooms, boutique hotels and historic theaters. Musical groups include emerging artists and legendary Grammy-winning headliners presenting a diverse menu of musical styles: jazz, rock, country, world, singer-songwriter and more, amidst the backdrop of one of the most charming regions in New York--Long Island's East End.

The winter concert series and wine festival runs for five weeks, from February 19 to March 20, 2016, on Long Island's East End. Following are our picks for concerts and wine events taking place through Sunday, February 28, 2016. LIVE MUSIC

Concert: Yacouba Sissoko

Thursday, February 25 at 7 p.m. 

Bay Burger, Sag Harbor

Yacouba Sissoko is in demand as one of the best Kora players in the world, playing with jazz, Latin and R&B bands as well as traditional African songs. In addition to performing as a soloist and with his band SIYA, he has toured with a variety of well-known artists such as Regina Carter, Baaba Maal, Rachel Brown, Kavita Shah, Kakande and Roberto Fonseca. Yacouba has also recorded with Harry Belafonte, Paul Simon, Abdoulaye Diabate and Ami Koita.

Concert: HooDoo Loungers

Saturday, February 27 at 6 p.m. 

Clovis Point, Laurel

The HooDoo Loungers are an East Coast based band performing music inspired by the rhythms, sounds, history and spirit of New Orleans. The band's sound encompasses traditional New Orleans Jazz, Brass Band, classic R&B and funk - a blend of original music and re-arranged New Orleans classics. The HooDoo Loungers are known for their high energy, entertaining show that is always a crowd pleaser. Since it's formation in 2008, the HooDoo's have performed at numerous East Coast music festivals and concerts as well as performing at top music venues such as the Paramount Theater (Huntington), The Stephen Talkhouse (The Hamptons), B.B. Kings Blues Club (NYC), Chicago Civic Center, VooDoo Festival (New Orleans), Van Werts Music Hall ( Ohio)  and many others.

Concert: SixGun

Saturday, February 27 from 7 to 11 p.m. 

Hotel Indigo, Riverhead

The music of SixGun is often called “Country with a Kick.” The tri-state area’s premier Country / Rock band is known for their tight harmonies and hot leads. The band has played for American and European audiences as large as 35,000. Featuring Lead Vocals and Guitar

 by Dave Cutrone; Piano, Keyboards and Vocals

Wine Tasting with the Wine Maker

Saturday, February 27 from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. 

Wölffer Estate Vineyard, Sagaponack

Visitors are invited to taste wines paired with cheese in the Wölffer Library with winemaker Roman Roth. Wines include a 2002 Estate Chardonnay, 2004 Wölffer Cabernet Franc, 2008 Wölffer Caya Cabernet Franc, and 2001 Wölffer Premium Cru.

NoFo Varietals 101

Sunday, February 28 from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. 

Raphael Winery 

Visitors are invited to an intimate educational experience where they will learn how to properly pair four wines alongside Raphael Winery Chef's light fare selections. Wines include Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Cabernet Franc, & Merlot served in a free Raphael wine glass.

Unraveling Methodé: Champenoise Tour & Tasting

Sunday, February 28 at 2 p.m. 

Sparkling Pointe, Southold 

Visitors are invited to learn about the very unique process that is Methodé Champenoise and how Sparkling Pointe's signature sparkling wines are made.  The event includes an informative and detailed tour throughout the vineyard and winery to uncover the magic of this specialized winemaking process, including tasting sparkling wines at 3 different stages of the process as well as the vineyard's signature Grand Tasting Flight to complete the experience.
