Two exhibition openings unfold this weekend on the East End: one at Ashawagh Hall for a two-person show (Jerry Schwabe and Kirsten Benfield) and the other at Watermill Center for site-specific installation by Daniel Ashram. Also on the weekend culture list is a talk and tour by exhibiting artist Joe Zucker at the Parrish and a blow out event at Watermill Center on Saturday featuring family friendly programming. GUILD HALL - “East Hampton Film Society presents Chinatown” this evening at 7 p.m. A discussion with film society members follows the screening. Admission is $8, $6 for members.

PARRISH ART MUSEUM - “The Artist’s View - Joe Zucker” takes place on Friday at 6 p.m. Alicia Longwell, the Lewis B. Dorothy Cullman Chief Curator, and artist Joe Zucker will discuss the exhibition “Joe Zucker: Life & Times of an Orb Weaver.” Admission is $10, free for members, children and students. Reservations recommended. The exhibition remains on view through April 26.

“Guided Tour of the Permanent Collection” takes place on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. The docent-led tour features highlights from the seven permanent collection galleries. Free with museum admission. Reservations suggested.

WATERMILL CENTER - “Saturdays @ WMC” takes place on Saturday from 11:30 to 6 p.m. From 11:30 to 1 p.m. will be a Puppet Workshop with Julian Crouch & Saskia Lane. From 12:30 to 2 p.m. and from 3:30 to 5 p.m. there will be a tour of the building, grounds & collection. From 1 to 2 p.m. the grounds will be open for guests to bring a picnic lunch. From 2 to 3:30 p.m. Kembra Pfahler will present a “Performance Art 101” workshop. From 4 to 6 p.m. Daniel Arsham has an exhibition opening & reception. Reservations recommended for all workshops.
