This weekend brings a mix of exhibition openings, live music, poetry and film to the Hamptons art scene. Of special note is the Kickoff-Party for Winterfest, a live music series taking place in vineyards and venues across the East End. Friday night's Kick-Off Party features live music, food and wine and is held at the Suffolk Theater in Riverhead. Winterfest, a six-week live music festival, begins on February 21.

BRIDGEHAMPTON

BRIDGEHAMPTON MUSEUM - "Parlor Jazz/Art of Song Concert: When I Fall in Love" takes place on Friday at 7:30 p.m. The concert includes Lisa Gary, John Ludlow, Jane Hastay and Peter Martin Weiss, and art by Dean Andrews. EAST HAMPTON/SPRINGS

HAMPTONS INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL and GUILD HALL - “Winter Classic Screening: The Searcherstakes place on Saturday at 7 p.m. The screening is hosted by Alec Baldwin and Artistic Director David Nugent. The 1956 film is directed by John Ford and stars John Wayne. Admission is $22, $20 for members. Guild Hall is located at 158 Main Street East Hampton, NY 11937. www.guildhall.org.

QUOGUE

QUOGUE LIBRARY GALLERY – “Martha McAleer - The Collective: Abstract and Impressionistic Mixed Media and Acrylic Paintings” has an Opening Reception on Saturday from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. The exhibition remains on view through February 27. RIVERHEAD

EAST END ARTS at the SUFFOLK THEATER - “Winterfest Kick-Off Party” takes place on Friday. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. The event features Randy Jackson, Kerry Kearney Band, Jack’s Waterfall, and Special Guests Pandafan. A late-night All-Star Jam is also part of the fun. Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 at the door. The Suffolk Theater is located at 118 E. EAST END ARTS SCHOOL - “LI Love Story Poetry & Performance Event” takes place on Saturday at 2 p.m. Works by Long Island artists will be on view. The featured poet is Lucas Hunt. The event is free with a suggested $5 donation. The event will take place in the Carriage House behind the School at 141 E. Main Street, Riverhead, NY 11901. www.eastendarts.org.

SUFFOLK COUNTY HISTORICAL SOCIETY - “Book & Bottle with Dr. John Strong” takes place on Friday at 6 p.m. Dr. John Strong is the author of The Unkechaug Indians of Eastern Long Island. Rosemary McKinley, author of The Wampum Exchange will also be in attendance. The Book discussion and signing will include wine & cheese. Admission free for members, $5 for non-members. SAGAPONACK

WÖLFFER ESTATE VINEYARD - “Jazz Jam Thursdays: Jim Snidero” takes place this evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Main Winery. House band members are Wayne Sabella on piano, Peter Weiss on bass and Claes Brondal on drums. This week’s Special Guest is Jim Snidero on Alto Sax. Admission is free.

Candlelight Fridays: Dennis Raffelock, Classic Jazz Trio” takes place on Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Main Winery. Admission is free. Wines by the glass and bottle and cheese/charcuterie plates are available for purchase at the live music event.

SAG HARBOR

PARRISH ART MUSEUM - “Guided Tour of the Permanent Collection” takes place on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. The docent-led tour features highlights from the seven permanent collection galleries.
