The reception included a variety of performances and art-related entertainment. Larger-than-life-sized photographs of Cindy Sherman were hung among the trees greeted guess and a Fashion Institute of Technology's installation "Fowl Play" was transported from its urban setting to commune with guests in a natural setting.

The Brooklyn Peaches Synchronized Swimmers, donned in Malia Mills blue and white bikinis, made a splashy pop-up performance in a reflective pool. Pop surrealist and artistic dancer Mike Knife, water performer Heather Whatever and Beelzebabe, added to the slate of entertainment. So did John Houshmand’s music/art-instrument/improvisation group and live music by several musical artists. Projected images from the #HearstLovesLongHouse Instagram campaign and “selfie” photo booth stations provided a dash of whimsy during the evening.
