With attention turned to the Hamptons, most of the East End artist action is close to home. Still, a Hamptons-connection continues in New York City in July. Look for Keith Sonnier, Michael Dweck, Eric Dever, Steve Miller and others. Following is the complete list of where to find art with a Hamptons connection in NYC:

“SUMMERTIME SALON 2014” opens on July 2 at Robin Rice Gallery in Soho. The photographic exhibition features the work of Gallery Artists. Participating Hamptons Artists include Steve Miller and Kathryn Szoka

JULY 9 (WEDNESDAY)

"AMERICAN SCULPTURE" opens July 9 at the National Exemplar Gallery in Tribeca. The show features work by Keith Sonnier, Rand Hardy, Josh Smith, Matt Kenny, Julia Benjamin, Dylan Bailey and Alexander May. It continues through Aug. 14, 2014. Sonnier has a studio in the Hamptons.

JULY 10 (THURSDAY)

"MICHAEL DWECK, HOWARD SCHATZ - UNDERWATER" opens on July 10 with a reception from 6 to 8 p.m. at Staley-Wise Gallery in Soho. The show remains on view through Aug. 29. Michael Dweck is based in Montauk and New York City.

“ERIC DEVER & JODIE MANASEVIT” has an Opening Reception on July 10 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Berry Campbell in Chelsea. Both artists create abstract paintings. The show continues through August 9, 2014. Eric Dever is based in the Hamptons.

"THE THING ITSELF" opens on July 10 at Yancey Richardson in Chelsea. JULY 3 (THURSDAY)

“SUSAN VECSEY & JAMES WALSH” closes on July 3 at Berry Campbell in Chelsea. Vecsey will present minimal, abstract paintings with an emphasis on emotions or references to nature through shape and color. Preparatory charcoal drawings and color studies will also be on view. Susan Vecsey lives and works part-time in East Hampton, NY. Walsh will present sculptural paintings that explore the material properties of paint.

JULY 11 (FRIDAY)

"SUN, SAND, AND SEA" closes on July 11 at Spanierman Gallery in Midtown. The 15 works on view communicate the appeal of the summer season in a variety of styles, sizes, and media. The Hamptons are featured in many of the works on view or were made by artists with East End ties including William Merritt Chase (1849-1916) and Ty Stroudsburg.

July 18 (FRIDAY)

"SOLO SHOW BY CORNELIA FOSS" closes on July 18 at Gerald Peters Gallery on the Upper East Side. An Opening Reception will be held on June 19 from 6 to 8 p.m. Cornelia Foss is Hamptons based.
