This weekend is especially busy with rescheduled exhibition openings and events combining with new cultural happenings. Live music, a hosted film screening, book readings and new art openings are all on tap. So is a durational performance taking place on Saturday at Watermill Center. Following is this week's list of where to find art and culture in the Hamptons and the East End at large.

EAST END – “WINTERFEST: LIVE ON THE VINE” continues its series of live music this weekend. The music festival features over 100 concerts held at multiple venues across the North Fork and Riverhead through March 16. The majority are held at wineries on the North Fork. Admission is $20 per concert or by a “Festival Hopper” passes. Festival Day Pass is $30, a Weekend Pass is $50 and a Festival Pass is $200. Music includes blues, soul, rock and country. TONIC ARTSPACE POP-UP GALLERY at KATHRYN MARKEL FINE ART- “Phenomena” has an Opening Reception on Saturday from 6 to 9 p.m. Exhibiting artists include Arrex, Maeve D’Arcy, Carly Haffner, Christine Lidrbauch, Scott Gibbons, and Grant Haffner. ASHAWAGH HALL - CRAZY MONKEY GALLERY presents "Eclecticism" for a weekend only show. An Opening Reception will be held on Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. The exhibition is open on Friday 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Sunday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Participating artists include Anna Franklin, Andrea McCafferty, June Kaplan, Bobbie Braun, Lance Corey, Sally Breen, Dianne Marxe, Barbara Bilotta, Bo Parsons, Mark E. GUILD HALL & HAMPTONS INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL - “VERTIGO” hosted by Alec Baldwin will screen on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $22, $20 for members. For details, visit www.guildhall.org.

GUILD HALL - WINTER FILM FESTIVAL screens “Lucky” on Sunday at 4:30 p.m. Free admission. The film is directed by Avie Luthra.  (South Africa, 2011. Zulu, Hindi and English with English Subtitles. 100 minutes).

Over the grave of his dead mother, 10-year-old Lucky makes a promise to make something of himself. Leaving the security of his remote Zulu village for the big city, he falls in with Padma, an elderly Indian woman.

CANIO’S BOOKS – Amagansett author and poet Scott Chaskey celebrates the publication of Seed Time on Saturday from 5 to 6 p.m. Chaskey, Master farmer at Quail Hill Farm, weaves history, politics, botany, literature, mythology, and memoir into his new book. SOUTHAMPTON

STONY BROOK SOUTHAMPTON – WRITERS SPEAK WEDNESDAYS – “A Reading by Alexandra Styron" at 7 p.m. A reception precedes the reading at 6:30 p.m. Styron is the author of All The Finest Girls and Reading My Father. WATER MILL

“9th Annual LOVE AND PASSION: WALK ON THE WILD SIDE” Presented at HAMPTON HANG GALLERY and SARA NIGHTINGALE GALLERY in conjunction with Karyn Mannix Contemporary. WATERMILL CENTER - “Temporary Distortion: MY VOICE HAS ECHO IN IT” durational performance takes place on Saturday from 2 to 8 p.m. NYC based performance group Temporary Distortion will present live music, text, installation, and video over the course of six hours. "Conversation with LEIMAY" takes place on Wednesday at 6 p.m. The current work of the Open Program of the Workcenter of Jerzy Grotowski and Thomas Richards will be discussed.
