Even snow can't keep Hamptons artists away from the New York City gallery scene! Following is this month's list of exhibitions featuring artists with an East End connection held in New York City.

FEBRUARY 6 (THURSDAY)
“NATURAL WONDERS III” has an Opening Reception on Feb. 6 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Kathryn Markel Fine Arts in Chelsea. The exhibition continues through March 8. The exhibition is a solo show of new paintings by Allison Stewart.

"SEEKING ENGAGEMENT NSA" has an Opening Reception on Feb. 6 from 6 to 9 p.m. at Lyons Wier Gallery in Chelsea. The exhibition continues through Feb. 22. All of the artists in the group show are from the East End. They include Jack Ceglic, Tom Dash, Tapp Francke, Julia Greffenius, Jeff Muhs, Nika Nesgoda, Darius Yektai and Gavin Zeigler. The exhibition is curated by Beth NcNeill of Southampton, NY.

FEBRUARY 12 (WEDNESDAY)
EAST END HOSPICE BENEFIT - "15th Annual Valentine Salon" will be held Feb. 12 from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 583 Park Avenue at 63rd Street, New York, NY. FEBRUARY 14 (FRIDAY)
LONGHOUSE RESERVE BENEFIT - "Be Our Valentine" will be held on Feb. 14 at the Museum of Arts and Design. The event features the performance of Ballads and Stories by Bill T. Jones and dancers. FEBRUARY 26 (WEDNESDAY)
"PERRY BURNS: GALAXIES" has an Opening Reception on Feb. 26 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Cheryl Hazan Gallery in TriBeCa. The exhibition continues through March 29. Perry Burns is based in East Hampton, NY.

"A SENSE OF PLACE: IMAGES OF NEW YORK" has an Opening Reception on Feb. 27 from 6 to 8 p.m. in Chelsea at Birnam Wood Galleries. The show continues through March 22. Exhibiting artists are Ramon Espantaleon, Susan Grossman, John Hardy, Beth O'Donnell, Clifford Smith, Fred Stein and Andrew Kertesz. Beth O'Donnell is based in East Hampton, NY and Brooklyn.

“LYNDA BENGLIS” closes on Feb. 15 at Cheim & Read in Chelsea. The show presents new ceramics by Benglis. The artist has a home in East Hampton, NY. Her work has been exhibited at Guild Hall.

FEBRUARY 16 (SUNDAY)
CHRISTOPHER KNOWLES AUDIO WORKS: ‘70s – ‘80s / Objects” closes on Feb. 16 at Audio Visual Arts (AVA). The exhibition presents archived audio works and objects (a Simon and a few alarm clocks) from the personal collection of Christopher Knowles. The majority of these recordings have never been available to the public. The objects have inspired some of Knowles’s paintings. Knowles is a collaborator of Robert Wilson's and performed at Watermill Center in Water Mill, NY in 2013.

FEBRUARY 22 (SATURDAY)
KEITH SONNIER: ELYSIAN PLAIN + EARLY WORKS” closes on Feb. 22 at Pace Gallery in Chelsea. The exhibition presents new works made in Sonnier’s Bridgehamtpon studio. Sonnier has exhibited at the Parrish Art Museum.

‘MARGARET GARRETT – TURNING FIELDS” closes on Feb. 22 at Birnam Wood Galleries in Chelsea. Garrett is based in Shelter Island, NY.

“CHUCK CLOSE NUDES 1967-2014” opens on Feb. 28 at Pace Gallery in Chelsea. The show remains on view through March 29. The show presents Close’s Polaroid and daguerreotype nudes and Big Nude (1967), a 10’ x 21’ painting never publically exhibited before in New York. Close had a solo show in 2013 at Guild Hall in East Hampton, NY. He is a former resident of the Hamptons.

“MEL KENDRICK: WATER DRAWINGS” continues through March 1 at David Nolan Gallery in Chelsea. The exhibition presents 20 new cast-paper drawings. Kendrick has a home in Southampton, NY. His work has been exhibited at the Parrish Art Museum.

“PRINTS: DAN FLAVIN, DONALD JUDD, FRED SANDBACK” continues through March 1 at David Zwirner in Chelsea. The exhibition presents a selection of prints made between 1961 and 1994 and offer insights into each artist’s sculptural practices, attitudes and concerns.
The Dan Flavin Art Institute is located in Bridgehampton, NY. The museum offers a permanent installation of nine of Flavin's fluorescent works made between 1963 and 1981 in a space planned by the artist.
