HAMPTONS & EAST END, NY-

There's lots of art and art events to experience this weekend. Just a few highlights include East End or Busk at the Parrish Art Museum, The Artists Against Abuse Goes Sixties benefiting The Retreat on Saturday and the Asbury Short Film Concert at the Suffolk Theater in Riverhead. Holding their first art exhibitions for the summer are The Fireplace Project in Springs and  Sylvester & Co at Home in Amagansett. Following is the full list of options for an art-filled weekend:

AMAGANSETT 

ILLE ARTS GALLERY - “Four Women” has an Artist Talk titled “Raw and Refined” on Saturday at 4 p.m. Participating artists include Monica Banks, Suzanne Goldenberg, Janet Nolan, and Nicole Parcher. SYLVESTER & CO. AT HOME - “A Water World” has an Opening Reception tonight (Friday) from 6 to 8 p.m. The exhibition includes photography by Ej Camp and paintings by Chris Armstrong. Sylvester & Co. at Home is located at 154 Main Street, Amagansett, NY 11930. www.sylvesterathome.com.

BRIDGEHAMPTON

KATHRYN MARKEL FINE ARTS - “Denise Regan: New Paintings” has an Artist Reception tonight (Friday) rom 6 to 8 p.m. The exhibition remains on view through July 8. The gallery is located at 2418 Montauk Hwy, Bridgehampton, NY 11932. www.markelfinearts.com

THE RETREAT at ROSS LOWER CAMPUS - “Artists Against Abuse Goes Sixties” takes place on Saturday beginning at 6:30 p.m. The benefit features a live auction of art and experiences, as well as food, cocktails, dancing, and more. SILAS MARDER GALLERY - “Cathedral Architecture and Atmosphere” has an Opening Reception on Saturday from 5 to 9 p.m. Participating artists include Marc Burckhardt, Jennifer Cross, Clare Grill, Halsey Hathaway, Christian Little, Aurora Robson, Christian Sampson, and Pat Steir. EAST HAMPTON/SPRINGS 

GUILD HALL - ERIC FISCHL: BOOK SIGNING & CONVERSATION WITH PHYLLIS TUCHMAN takes place on Wednesday, June 26 at 7 p.m. Fischl will sign copies of his new new memoir Bad Boy: My Life On and Off the Canvas immediately following the talk. LONGHOUSE RESERVE - “Planters: On + Off  the Ground VI” takes place on Saturday from 4:30 to 7 p.m. The Invitational Garden Container exhibit includes Ribbon Presentations by jurors Tovah Martin, Paula Deitz, and Jack deLashmet at 6 p.m. The event is $10 for Longhouse Reserve members, $20 for nonmembers. GREENPORT   

OUTDOOR ART SHOW - 88.3 WWPB - FM Art Show at  MITCHELL PARK  will take place on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Participating artists and galleries include Hector DeCordova, Bryan Landsberg, Barbara Bilotta, Anna Franklin, Jim Sabiston, The South Street Gallery, and others. RIVERHEAD

EAST END ARTS - “Connections” has an Opening Reception tonight (Friday) from 5 to 7 p.m. The show is guest juried by the director of ILLE Arts in Amagansett, Sara De Luca. The exhibition remains on view through August 2. SUFFOLK THEATER - “Asbury Short Film Concert” takes place on Saturday beginning at 8 p.m. A few highlights of the 32nd annual short film exhibition are “ASAD,” “The Fantastic Flying Books of Mr. Lessmore,” and “Time Freak.” The Suffolk Theater is located at 118E Main Street, Riverhead, NY 11901. www.suffolktheater.com. WATER MILL

PARRISH ART MUSEUM - “PechaKucha Night Hamptons Vol. 4” will be held tonight at 6 p.m. with presentations by nine members of the creative community of the East End. Presenters are The presenters for Miche Bacher, designer and chef; Norman Brosterman, architect and collector; Rose Dios, clothing designer; Elizabeth Dow, wallpaper and textile designer; Mustafa Farhad, artist; Laurie Lambrecht, photographer; Zach Lazar, writer; Robin Saidman, photographer; and Caterina Verde, artist. PARRISH ART MUSEUM - "East End or Busk"concert series featuring NYC subway musicians kicks off on Saturday from 12 to 3 p.m. New York City musicians will perform simultaneously at different spots around the museum. Performing at Natalia “Saw Lady™” Paruz, maestro of the musical saw; modern day troubadour Natalie Gelman; Korean-born Vong Pak and the Vongku Pak Drum Troupe; the Xylopholks, who play 1920s ragtime dressed in fuzzy animal costumes; and Japanese classical guitarist Shogo Kubo. WATERMILL CENTER -SATURDAYS @ WMC takes place on Saturday from 12 to 3 p.m. featuring local artists offering workshops and the Watermill Center grounds open for visiting. The day features yoga in the large studio with Geoffrey Nimmer, creating puppets inspired by The Watermill Center Collection with Andrea Cote, tours of the building and grounds, and a presentation by Mary Woltz, the owner and beekeeper at Bees' Needs, that will include a sampling of hive products and a 'behind the scenes' view of the life of a beekeeper. To register: watermilltourjune22.eventbrite.com. WATER MILL MUSEUM - “21st Annual Members’ Art Exhibit” has a Brunch Reception on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The 75 works on view include sculpture, photography, oils, pastels, and more.
