EAST HAMPTON/SPRINGS 

ASHAWAGH HALL -"Points of View: LARGE & small" has an opening reception on Saturday from 5 to 8 p.m. Exhibiting artists are members of "The Wednesday Group," a group of artists who paint en plein air on the East End. The weekend only exhibition features works by Anna Franklin, Peter Gumpel, Cynthia Loewen, Deb Palmer, Alyce Peifer, Gene Samuelson, Christine Chew Smith, Frank Sofo, Cynthia Sobel and Pam Vossen. GLENN HOROWITZ BOOKSELLER - “Todd Norsten: This Isn’t How It Looks” has an opening reception on Saturday from 6 to 8 p.m. The exhibition remains on view though May 18. The artist will be exhibiting 25 works from 2010-2013. The gallery is located at 87 Newtown Lane, East Hampton, NY 11937. www.glennhorowitz.com

HARPER’S BOOKS - “Bizarre II” and “Matt Weber Photography Exhibition” opens on Saturday with an artist reception and live auction of books and other items from 6 to 7 p.m. Auction items can be previewed from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The Bizarre Party II takes place from 7 to 10 p.m. and includes food, drinks, book deals, and music by DJ Mister Lama. QUOGUE

QUOGUE LIBRARY –  “The Poetry of Art” and “The Art of Poetry” opens on Wednesday (April 3) and remains on view through April 28. Artist and poet Rosalind Brenner will exhibit impressionistic paintings. She will hold a poetry reading on April 13 at 3 p.m. The library is located at 90 Quogue Street, Quogue, NY 11959. www.quoguelibrary.org

SAG HARBOR

ROMANY KRAMORIS GALLERY - "The academy" will have an opening reception on Saturday from 4 to 6 p.m. Exhibiting artists include Thomas Condon, Pingree Louchheim, Joan Tripp, and Richard Udice. The artists are part of a larger self-styled group who dubbed themselves the "academy" in jest and in a nod to their diverse styles of artwork. The exhibition runs through April 25. WATER MILL

PARRISH ART MUSEUM - “As the Eye is Formed” will have a second screening tonight (Friday) at 6 p.m. The screening will be introduced by juror and video artist Peter Campus. Tickets are $10 or free for museum members, students with ID and children under 18 years old. “As the Eye is Formed” is presented by the Parrish Art Museum and the Hamptons International Film Festival. SOUTHAMPTON CULTURAL CENTER - “An Evening of Latin Flair” takes place on Friday (April 5) at 7 p.m. Spanish and Latin influenced classical music will be performed by Jay Sorce on guitar, Andrea Lodge on piano, Elizabeth York on violin, Josh Schwalbach on bass, and Scott Litroff on saxophone. Admission is $20, $10 for students under 21. The performance is located at Levitas Center for the Arts, 25 Pond Lane, Southampton Village, NY 11968. www.southamptonculturalcenter.org
