DISPATCH - NOV 2, 2012 (10:05 a.m.)

WATER MILL, NY

The Parrish Art Museum has postponed this weekend's Open House events for VIP and Museum Members. The events were designed to provide a first look at the new museum and its inaugural art exhibitions and installations. Hurricane Sandy's continuing impact was cited as the reason for the postponement, according to the Parrish's website.

Open House events for the public have not been impacted. The museum officially opens on Saturday, Nov 10, 2012. The museum will be open--free of charge--from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. from Saturday (Nov 10) through Monday (Nov 12). Special live performances and events take place from Friday, Nov 9, through Sunday, Nov 11.

Both VIP Open Houses have been rescheduled for next week.
