LongHouse Reserve - "Diversities of Sculpture/Derivations From Nature” has a curator's talk and panel discussion with several of the exhibiting artists on Sat at 5:30 p.m. Admission is $30 or $20 for members. The curator is Bonnie Rychlak. Panelists are artists Brian Gaman, Jene Highstein, Judith Shea and Daniel Wiener.
Community Arts Project -"Sky and Sea" opens on Sat from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Springs Presbyterian Church. Exhibiting artists include Joan Tripp, Cynthia Loewen, Peter Gumpel and Mary Milne. The show is on view today and tomorrow.
QUOGUE LIBRARY - "Animals" opens on Sat from 3 to 5 p.m. and remains on view through Jun 30. The group photography show is presented with East End Arts. A sister show is being held at EEA Gallery in Riverhead. Quogue Library is located at 90 Quogue Street, Quogue, NY. www.quoguelibrary.org
EAST END ARTS - "Animals" opens tonight from 5 to 7 p.m. The group show remains on view through Jul 13. A companion exhibition featuring photography is being held at the Quogue Library through June. East End Arts is Located at 133 East Main Street, Riverhead, NY. www.eastendarts.org
GRENNING GALLERY - "Painting Their Home Towns" opens on Sat from 6 pm to 8 pm. Paintings by James Daga Albinson and Marc Dalessio are featured. The show remains on view through July 8. The gallery is located at 17 Washington St, Sag Harbor, NY.
MONIKA OLKO GALLERY - "Solo show by Shen Wei" opens on Sat from 6 to 9 p.m. A VIP reception takes place from 5 to 6 p.m. The photography show was curated by Yong Jo Ji and Anna Atanasova. Shen is a choreographer, artist, and the founder and artistic director of Shen Wei Dance Arts, a contemporary dance troupe. The gallery is located at 95 Main St, Sag Harbor, NY.
4 NORTH MAIN GALLERY - "Color & Contrast" opens on Sat from 5 to 8 p.m. The three person show features work by Dinah Maxwell Smith, Norm Lowe and Molly Dougenis. It remains on view through Jun 18. The gallery is located at 4 North Main St, Southampton, NY. http://4northmaingallery.com/
ROGERS MEMORIAL LIBRARY'S Madelle Hegeler Semerjian Gallery - “Vernissage: East End Water Views and Landscapes” - A solo show by Donald E. Group for the East End - “Women Speak Out on Gas Drilling” opens tonight with a talk and reception from 5 to 7 p.m. The exhibition features photography by Joyce Baronio and interview excerpts and writing by Ellen Bay. It remains on view through Jun 29. The works reveal 14 women from PA and NY who were interviewed about hydraulic fracturing for natural gas extraction (fracking) in their communities. Group for the East End is located at 54895 Route 25 in Southold, NY. The show can be viewed from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Tuesdays through Fridays. www.groupfortheeastend.org
